What does Percy have to say about the books?
"Those are not that good, you should probably choose something else to read"
Percy said nonchalantly, clearly knowing the book Alice was going to read was about him, and trying to prevent her from doing so. After opening the book, and seeing that the first page is literally a drawing of Percy, Alice chuckled in surprise, but also more curious to read this book, now that she knew it was about Percy.
"Oh, i see... you look kind of dumb in this drawing..." - Alice said in a teasing, but lighthearted manner, making Percy very embarassed from seeing himself on the book, even though he could tell Alice didn't mean no harm with her joke.
"Yea, they are old stories about me... but they are not that fun... i mean, they are basically all fake so..." - Percy replied nervously which made Alice laugh as she knew this book embarassed him, but mainly because she really wanted to see how the book depicted the demon king.
"I will be the judge of that... now let's see what things you did in your past..." - Alice said with a frisky smile, before reading with excitement what events had supposedly taken place in Percy's life, just to make him more nervous. And even though he was embarassed by this, Percy sat next to Alice, and since he couldn't do much to stop her, he just read with her about his fantastically dumb life.
Since the beginning it was clear the story was all about how Percy became the greatest demon king in history, and it was pretty much idolizing him throughout the entire lenght of the book. It wasn't that long, but it did contain a lot of action, brutal fights, and cool dialogues, that Alice actually liked a lot. She didn't like much Percy's character, but she was curious about a love interest for Percy, got included at one point, which caused Alice to be more interested in the story, specially because now it had romantic aspects.
Percy just sat in silence next to her, trying not to say anything about the book so Alice could enjoy it on her own. But after seeing how she reacted to the love interest in the story, he got nervous as he remembered that character was supposed to be her real first wife, who passed away centuries ago.
And since Percy was also impressed by how Alice was so engaged to the story, he smiled akwardly while thinking how she was learning a lot about his past, and him as a character. Even when some of the events were exaggerated, or even completely made up, Percy was still a bit proud of this book, since it told a lot of important things to Alice, that he would have had a difficult time explaining to her in a normal conversation. Although it did seem Alice just found the book funny, because of how dumb Percy's character was, which made him want to get rid of the book, but tried to keep it together until she finished reading.
"So, how was it?" - Percy asked with a slightly scared tone, after Alice finished reading the book about him, and seemingly being very entertained by it. Percy was really hoping Alice would like this book, which meant she liked all the things he did in the past, so he was glad to to see Alice looked happier than before, which meant she at least liked it.
"Yea, it was good... i liked some of the battles but that's pretty much it... i can't believe you found a real girl that fell in love with you, so that must be one of the made up things..." - Alice replied with a slightly enthusiastic smile, but mainly teasingly, with the purpose of making fun of Percy, which actually made him nervous, and even ashamed of his own life story.
Alice was very skeptical of most of the events depicted in the story, but she also didn't care if they were real, she enjoyed most of the aspects. She had a lot of fun with most of the battles, mainly entertained by the action, but also finding the love aspect ofthe story interesting, even though Percy's wife dies in the story.Alice was overall pleased by the story, although she hated the ending, but even though she felt a little bad about Percy's loss, she didn't care much about him losing his wife, and even continued making fun of.
"Alright... i guess it was fun..." - Percy replied with a timd smile, after being hurt by how Alice wasn't affected by the death of his wife. Percy started to regret showing Alice these books, specially because she was now making lighthearted, but still hurtful jokes about his wife, which he tried not to let him affect too much, even when he couldn't ignore them.
But after everything that happened, Percy was left bitter from reading with Alice, so he thought they may had enough fun for today. Although it was clear Alice wanted to read more, to probably make fun about Percy's dead wife, and since Percy still had time, it was possible for him to stay for a little longer. He could read something else with Alice, which would have to be something liked, or maybe end the day, or let her read more of whatever she wanted, even if it was just to make fun of him.
What does Percy and Alice fo next?
