Chapter 13 by Zeebop Zeebop

What does Lois wish for?

To Be A Supermom

There was a blinding flash of light.

Lois felt herself being lifted off the ground. Ribbons skittered across her skin, cold as metal. A heavy weight settled on her chest...even though she could no longer feel the floor, she could feel the extra mass pulling oddly at her shoulders and back, center of gravity shifting. It wasn't painful. If anything she felt full of light...elated...almost bursting with energy and life.

The light faded. Lois looked at herself.

The golden idol was mounted onto her chest...a much larger chest. Her breasts looked huge, barely contained by a pair of golden metal cups. Lois reached up to touch her face, and felt a mask across her eyes and the bridge of her nose...but she couldn't see her feet. There was a great metallic mound in the way, smooth as an egg. She reached down to touch it...

...and felt her own belly.

"Oh no," she whispered. Instinctively, she moved toward the bathroom, needing to see herself in the mirror...and realized she was floating a few inches above the floor. Putting that aside for the moment, Lois hovered into the bathroom and looked at the mirror.

The woman in the mirror was wearing a costume, golden metal armor and white cloth which hugged and accentuated her maternal features. The breasts were heavy and full, the distended abdomen looked full term, hutting out in front of her. A winged domino mask concealed her face, and a kind of tiara kept her long dark hair pulled back.

Lois looked like a hero...or a villain. Except she was pregnant. Really pregnant. And flying.

The newmade Supermom floated back out into her bedroom, both hands on her stomach. She looked out at her balcony.

If I can fly... Lois was getting the hang out of floating. All she had to do was will it, and she moved in any direction. Up or down, backward or forward, left or right. She rotated carefully in midair, heading toward glass door that led out to Metropolis. Surprisingly, the pregnant woman felt no nausea. Only a sort of giddy anticipation as she opened the door and floated out, up, and away...

The wind should have been freezing, but to Supermom it was no less than a cool breeze. She rose up, several stories above the street. Her body still felt bloated and awkward...but also oddly powerful. Lois remembered how people said that pregnant women were stronger. Somehow she felt stronger. Ready for anything.

Then, somewhere far away, Lois Lane heard a blood-curling scream.

Instinctively, she moved toward it. The speed came easily, the air washing over her belly as, hands extended in front of her, she pushed herself toward the screaming figure. It was too faint for her to have really heard it, yet her heart pounded as it echoed in her head, demanding answer...

It was a pregnant woman in trouble.

What kind of trouble?
