DV Day 7 - Do a quest

Time to do it right! Hana is passionate about video games... there must be some fun stuff here. It's not all about shooting your load.

You jump right in and play through the opening quest! It's super exciting. You do like this heist and stuff... but it goes bad, but it's not your fault. Pretty cool.

But pretty soon you're free to do whatever, and you can look at your map. The map shows you where all the stuff is, so you can just go chasing whatever question marks are on there.

The city is pretty overwhelming, so you decide to just head out to the badlands or whatever. You are learning about video games, but you still have a lot to learn, you know? You want to keep it simple... there is less going on outside the city.

So you take your car, which is this like... piece of junk, and drive out there.

You find this camp of like nomads or bandits or whatever. It's all dry and dusty and sunny out here, and these people kind of dress like Mad Max people. It's cool!

They have a camp with like... tents and trailers and stuff out here in the desert. Kind of neat.

Anyway, you meet with this guy, and he says:

"So one of our people bailed on us and she's not really one of us anymore. But she got in trouble with this other group, and I think they have her. Even though she's not with us, we should help her."

"So why don't you help her?" you ask.

"Because then we'd be at war with those guys. It's better if it's someone like you," he says.

"OK," you agree. Rescuing a girl? Cool.

You agree to help. Great! You head off to the bandit camp. You did your research... but there is still a lot you don't understand about video games. So you tried to keep it really simple when you did all your character stuff. You put points into melee weapons and stuff like that, and you have a baseball bat. You don't know how to use a gun, but you can use a bat!

You run into the bandit camp and bash everybody!

"You get a bop! And you get a bop!" you say as you smack everyone with your bat.

You approach the woman in the cage and let her out. This is the prisoner you were sent to get.

"Who the fuck are you?" she asks.

She's a tough brunette wearing grungry mad max clothes. She seems like a badass, and you can tell that's cool from how she acts.

"Um, I'm Riley. Who the fuck are you?" you ask back.

"I'm Panam."

Weird name.

You explain to her that you were hired to save her from the bandits. She seems cool with it, and you take her back to the nomad camp, where they thank you and pay you with some fake video game money. You receive some XP as well! You put the points into your baseball bat skill. Baseball bats are great, and that was fun! Bopping people with the bat is cool!

It's nighttime in the game. You're back at the camp with the nomad people. You see Panam talking to the guy that runs it.

You also see a couple girls hanging out by a campfire.

Hmm...

Talk to the girls?
