Couples Therapy - Part 2

TOBIAS (played by Hanno Koffler): -Hello, my name is Tobias.

JOHANNA (played by Antje Mönning): -I’m Johanna.

CASALI: -Tell us a bit about yourselves, please.

TOBIAS: -We’re from Germany, and have lived here for a couple of years.

JOHANNA: -I work at a pharmaceutical company and he works at a car factory.

CASALI: -How long have you been together?

TOBIAS: -We started dating seven years ago and have been living together for the last five.

CASALI: -How would you define your sex life?

JOHANNA: -Well… in general, I’d say that it’s okay, but we have some differences about it.

CASALI: -That’s why we’re here. We will talk about it later and see what we can do to help. Thank you, guys -then, looking at the next couple-. What about you?

PABLO (played by Mario Casas): -I’m Pablo.

MARTA (played by Manuela Vellés): -I’m Marta.

CASALI: -What can you tell us about yourselves?

PABLO: -Marta was born here in Barcelona. I was born in Zaragoza, but my parents moved here when I was a child. I’m a dentist, and Marta is a nurse.

CASALI: -Do you work together?

MARTA: -No. I’m not a dental nurse. I work at the Hospital de Sant Pau.

CASALI: -How long have you been together?

MARTA: -A long time! Since our first year in University, when we were both eighteen.

CASALI: -That’s cute. How do you both feel about that?

PABLO: -We have talked about it and we are both on the same page: we love each other and have no intention of breaking up, but sometimes we wish that we had met a bit later, so that we had had more time to have experiences with other people.

MARTA: -Exactly.

CASALI: -Had you had sexual intercourse with others before you met?

PABLO: -I had been with two girls.

MARTA: -Two boys and one girl.

CASALI: -Are you bisexual, then?

MARTA: -I wouldn’t say that much. I just gave it a try with a friend when we were in high school. I would define myself as bi-curious. I do feel attracted to some women, but I certainly prefer men.
