Nothing Unusual

The elevator dinged on the 21st floor, and Lars stepped out into the office area. Cubicles were the main work spaces for employees of the company. The only person who got a private office was Mr. Michael Stratford, the owner of the company.

Lars walked down the aisles of desks toward his own cubicle at the end of the row. As he approached, he heard some chatter from around the corner. His desk was right near to the water cooler so he often found himself talking to coworkers who came to get a drink.

Peeking around the corner, Lars saw that David and Adrian leaning against the wall. They were currently deep in a conversation about something, which they both seemed annoyed about.

“.... and then she had the audacity to tell me that she couldn’t control them! Like, aren’t they a part of your body?” exclaimed Adrian as Lars got closer to them.

“Yeah, that’s true! What kind of excuse is that?” added David.

“Hey, guys, what are you talking about?” said Lars.

They both turned, surprised, like they just noticed he was standing there.

“Oh, hey, Lars!” replied Adrian, cheerfully. “I was just talking about an encounter I had with Delilah. I was walking back from the bathroom, and she came rushing past me. Clearly, she was in a rush, but I had to stop her cause her boobs were out of control. It’s just disrespectful and distracting for girls to have their boobs bouncing around so much.”

“Oh I agree completely,” added David. “I’m glad the girls are punished for behaving in that manner.”

“How’d you punish her?” asked Lars.

“I just brought her to the punishment station, had her put her hands behind her head, and gave her 15 lashes with a whip on each breast,” said Adrian. “Hopefully, that’ll teach her to behave, but I’m not convinced it will.”

“Probably not,” said David. “They never learn.”

They stood in silence for a bit, drinking some water.

“Well, I’d better get to work,” Lars said. “See you guys later!”

“See ya, Lars,” David replied, waving. Lars headed back to his desk, already dreading the busy day of work ahead of him.
