Searching For Tadwin

As you strut onto the deck, you run into Mira. She gives you an odd look.

“Everything ok in sector two?”

“Yes, the hull repaired itself. The breach was just from an asteroid. So Tadwin has the weapon?”

“Yes, Tad had the orb. Can we locate him?”

“The computer says he’s not on the ship.”

“He has to be here. The weapon is only supposed to work locally. A hyperspace jump should be well beyond its power.”

“Do you think the weapon could hide him?”

“That’s certainly possible. He’ll need a chunk of space to create a dungeon.”

“So we do a manual search of each sector.”

“Great idea, Mira. With god’s help we’ll find him.”

Even as you say it, the words ring hollow.

Mira looks to Markus. “Rachel and I will do a physical search, Markus. Keep the coms open.”

“Be careful, Mira, if he is here he is extremely dangerous.”

Mira looks at you. “Let’s go Rachel.”
