Chapter 6 by sindermann sindermann

Does Tara survive the fall?

Saved by the vines

Tara winced as she tried to turn over, but only succeeded in flailing. The huge, jutting rock grew in her vision and her screams filled the chamber. She crossed her forearms over her face and gritted her teeth.

She snapped to a stop with such suddeness that she nearly blacked out. She thought briefly that she was dead. She felt her hair on her face, and something very thick and wet had wrapped itself around her right ankle. She laughed when she opened her eyes and saw the thick vine that she had flailed into. She looked down, six feet from the rock. She noticed at this distance that it was oddly symmetrical, almost crystalline, with a line running down the center. She felt the vine tighten.

She looked left and right. More of the vines dangled in the darkness. She noticed that the ground was wet and bubbly, probably a warm mud, and that quite a few rocks were strewn about. The angry echoes of the hairy thing above her thundered into the cavern. She turned her head and saw its wild eyes gleam above her, and then disappear.

She let herself relax and survey her body mentally. She was scraped and bruised, but she didn't feel any broken bones. The fall had torn a sizable hole over her left breast, which threatened to pop free from the bodysuit. Tara felt her face, which was remarkably undamaged except for her lip, which was slightly puffy and bleeding. She craned her head back, and spat on the rock.

The "rock" split open, and she was staring into a massive eye. Tara screamed, and the vine wound its way down her calf, and onto her thigh...

what happens next?
