Where is Ivy injecting those?
In Her Brain
"That pesky blood-brain barrier gets in the way," Poison Ivy said as she hovered over the paralyzed reporter. "But I found a way to bypass it. Inject the reagents directly into the brain, transorbitally. Just like they used to do with lobotomies. Now, this is going to feel a little weird."
Ivy was wearing gloves. Lois hadn't heard her scrub up, but she could smell the faintly pleasant antiseptic solution. Her heart was hammering in her chest, unable to even twitch a muscle as with one hand, Ivy lifted the reporter's left eyelid... Then the needle was moved into the little space between eye and eyelid, and Lois Lane couldn't quite feel the eyeball deform, but then there was a point of paint, above and behind her eye, and a horrible crunching sound that seemed to reverberate throughout her skull.
"...bone is thin right there, and gives direct access to the frontal lobes," Ivy's thumb was pressing on the back of the syringe, the green fluid flowing into the reporter's brain. A terrible coppery taste filled the back of her mouth. "Don't worry, I did this to myself, and I turned out fine."
Lois Lane would have been hyperventilating, if the paralytic plant toxins weren't preventing it. She could feel a fire blossoming in her womb, the strange **** that Ivy had injected doing something inside of her. A single tear ran down the side of her left eye, and a part of Lois tried desperately to make her limp mouth and tongue work, to say something, to beg Ivy to stop.
"Now the other one," Ivy said as she removed the first needle. A bit of blood dripped over the reporter's eye and she blinked, instinctively, but was unable to clear it. The plant-woman used her gloved thumb to pry open Lois Lane's right eyelid, and the needle came down.
It was worse, the second time. Now Lois knew what to expect. She was hyperaware of the pin-prick of the needle against the back of her orbital socket, the terrible strength that drove it through the bone there. The reporter didn't know how strong Ivy was...the villain had carried her effortlessly...and madness sometimes gave people inhuman strength. Still, the crunch as the bone gave way was worse this time, it seemed to echo through her head, and as the plunger descended, injecting the toxic chemicals into her brain, Lois wondered what exactly the terrible toxins would do to her...
What do the toxins do to Lois?
