A negotiation!
Despite your reservations, you decided to speak with the snake haired and vinegar scented monster girl. You heard that Gorgons were way more... Open to negotiations, then say, an Orc or something.
"Uh, hello there! Gorgon, I would like to pass through this area, but would rather not have to come to confrontation with you." You said, holding your noss.
"Hmm, I suppose letting one human on through the area wouldn't be too bad... If.."
