Lauren

"Since she is our guest, I think that Lily should choose where to go next." Rachel said, hopefully ending another argument before it started.

Lauren sighed in relief. She would finally be out of this nightmare! All she had to do was find the exhibit closest to the entrance, sneak away, find something to wear, report her theft, and she was home free!

"Um, can I see the map, please?" Lauren asked.

"Certainly, Sweetie." Rachel said as she reached into her bag and pulled out the zoo map, handing it to Lauren.

Lauren looked over the map. The elephant exhibit was closest, but considering that it was that elephant that got her into this mess in the first place, she immediately rejected that idea. The exhibit that seemed to be the next closest was the kangaroo exhibit. And much to Lauren's joy, the exhibit just so happened to be next door to a gift shop!

"I want to go see the kangaroos!" Lauren finally said, handing the map back to Rachel.

"Yay! Kanga!" Molly cheered from the stroller, Rachel chuckling in amusement.

"Really?" Amanda asked, a little disappointed. "The kangaroos?"

"I think that's a great idea, Lily!" Janet said with a nod.

"Of course you do," Amanda countered, "the kangaroos are right next to the elephants."

"Girls..." Rachel warned sternly, causing both to stop their argument as they grabbed Lauren's hands again.

Rachel pushed the stroller forward in the direction of the kangaroo exhibit, her two daughters and Lauren in tow. Lauren was inwardly grinning from ear to ear. Soon this nightmare would be over, she could go home, and she could pretend that today never happened!

At least, unless something happened that would delay her chances further...
