Jane's Past

Tiffany found herself suddenly out in the middle of a field. She looked around, and found Jane standing next to her behind a bush. Looking down, she could see she was now wearing some sort of beige dress, and Jane was as well. Jane motioned out into the field, and Tiffany could see a pond, with a woman swimming around within.

"That's me, at around twenty." Jane explained, as they watched from a cluster of trees, discreetly observing. Looking closer, Tiffany could see that based on the fact her bare ass was clearly visible above the water, she was skinny-dipping. Tiffany raised an eyebrow, which got a shrug from Jane. "It feels more comfortable. Even you have to admit it." Tiffany sighed, admitting that she was right.

Suddenly, two figures emerged from the other side of the pond, picked something up off the ground, and took off back into the woods. Tiffany audibly said "Oh. Was that..." she began, as Jane nodded in response.

"My clothes. Some kids from my village decided to prank me and steal my dress, and all my other clothes. I didn't even have a shoe to my name." Jane answered.

A short minute later, Jane's younger self emerged from the pond, and searched the area confused. She seemed especially distraught, which earned a laugh from Tiffany. "Guess you know how it feels, huh?" Jane smiled, responding with. "Let's keep watching." Tiffany watched as Jane gave up her search, and began the trek back down the main road to the village. The two followed behind, at such a distance as to remain unseen behind each bend, but keep a line of sight. Eventually, Jane passed her first person: a merchant travelling to another village. Tiffany expected her to cower, hide, or run, but instead Jane simply raised her hands up to cover her body. She flashed a sheepish smile, but continued past the bewildered traveler. Tiffany stared in shock, as she did the same to a farmer working the field near the road.

Once Jane reached her village, Tiffany gasped as she could see her approach the small market area, which was bustling with around forty people around the street. They all began to notice Jane, and instead of chastising her, most of them laughed in her direction. Tiffany watched her approach a stand with an old woman selling bread, who simply shook her head and handed her a bread basket as she nodded her thanks. Jane continued past many amused and bewildered merchants and traders, towards her house at the opposite end of the market. Tiffany looked wide-eyed back at Jane, who shrugged. "Growing up, I've always had a habit of wearing less than I mean to. My village got pretty used to my antics, once they realized that no amount of secure belts, knots, or well-made dresses could stop it from happening."

With another snap of her fingers, Tiffany and Jane found themselves back at the spring, with her family frozen in place while laughing in her direction. "Do you get what I want?"

Tiffany nodded. "I think I get it. But... I don't know. I'm far from used to it like you." Tiffany answered, her face growing red.

Jane nodded. "Nobody said you have to be a nudist right away. But, a good start would be treating it with a different attitude. Instead of focusing on the immediate, and everyone looking at you, focus on the other things. You didn't bring any clothes with you. Your suit is sitting twenty feet under scalding hot water. Everybody else has no hurry to bring you any clothes of their own. All you can do is ask for someone to lend you something at this point. All this together, can you even do anything about it now? If nobody decides to grab you a towel, that's on them. It isn't your fault." Jane suggested.

Tiffany sat in idle thought for a moment, before nodding her head. "Ok. I can try. Let me give it a shot."

Jane smiled, before snapping her fingers again.
