They go well, but not as planned.

Ralph and John ended up sharing their plans for going and gathering supplies at their house in Norway, with John going with a sailor friend of Ralph’s, and Kira staying in Scotland with the old sailor.

She did not accept that idea.

“No dad, you aren’t doing that,” Kira replied. “Nothing in that house is worth more to me than you, nothing in this world. If something needs for us to go get it, then we both go get it.”

Ralph saw her face, and a new energy flaring inside of her, he was going to stay way the fuck out of this one.

“Baby, it isn’t that big a deal,” John replied, trying to calm her down. “We don’t have to take the hard route across the North Sea, we can take the easy way down South.”

“The route down south that crosses the waters of six nations before you get to Norway?” Kira replied, “if something happened, if someone got you, I would have a hard time finding you.”

“If you need something, your lab or something let’s go get it. All of us, but I go with you.”

“Ralph, our boat isn’t ready, right?” Kira continued, “Do you have anything, or could we get anything in a heavier weight class for the Southern route? Something me and my dad could hide in if needed?”

“Aye, we could work something out, but not heavier,” Ralph replied. “With heavier it gets harder to answer questions, like why the fook are you so far North without cargo?”

“Do you have anything else that can go straight across?” Kira asked.

“No lass, we did a lot of work on your boat, and it was damaged going across,” Ralph replied. “And she is in bits right now, and I’ve nothing else that is close to crossing that water. The eternal when the refit is done, but that will be a couple of months.”

“What do you need there dad?” Kira asked, “what is so important you would leave me here?”

“Just the lab baby, I have work I was doing, notes I don’t want to lose, equipment that it is hard to come by,” he replied. “We still have tests to run, questions to answer. I might be able to synthesize your breast milk for example.”

Kira considered the value. Not just birth control, but her dad was always trying to better understand the science of it, to make it reliable and repeatable.

“Well then, we wait for our boat to be ready, we rent a boat and go the long way, or we don’t go, do we?” Kira replied flatly. “And that is all we are going to say on that boys. You two figure it out, and let me know what we are doing.”

Ralph and John exchanged a look, sort of like, “well we tried.”

The agreed on going sooner, before Kira advanced in pregnancy enough to make the trip dangerous for her. Ralph came up with a fabricated order for some goods from Edinburgh to London, and then another order for goods from London to Oslo and Bergen, it would get them close enough. Getting the lab equipment back would be the challenge, if they were challenged and boarded.

They could get a false manifest, but the gear they were going to be hauling was uncommon, and could lead to a more careful inspection, and that would be bad.

So they agreed on the smallest amount of scientific gear, sourcing new gear through London for all that could be replaced. Some of it was custom, that John had designed, they had to bring that along, as well as his notes.

And they would have to leave room in the smuggler’s holds for Kira and John. They had traveled on their most recent documents, and doing it again in less than a year on the same fake documents so quickly was dangerous. And traveling on new fake documents might be riskier.

John could wear a heavy jacket and grow a thick beard to travel, and he looked like anyone else. But there was no hiding Kira. She was just too unique, too beautiful. The chance of running into some port authority officer who had seen her and spent the last year jerking off to the memory was too great.

They spent three weeks getting ready, and Kira spent most of those nights with her dad. She did spend some with Ralph, knowing he still needed to gain strength, but she loved her dad.

They had plenty of her milk, and they consumed all she could produce. And the more they had the stronger they felt.

Ralph felt amazing. Younger than he had felt in decades. More energy, more strength, a clearer mind, better vision. He could smell the weather getting ready to change now. He had always had good vision, now it was amazing, he could not wait to get a boat into some tough water. His confidence was so high right now he recognized it as dangerous.

Ralph’s belly was also gone, and his white hair was turning grey. He was starting to see muscles he had not had before, this change was happening quickly.

The boat they rented was picked up in Edinburg and brought to Wick where his lads prepared it for the trip. And soon enough the three of them set out. They picked up new travel documents for Kira and her father, with John growing his hair and beard out a bit. Looking the part of a sailor.

Kira put her hair in a pony tail and work baggy clothing, but it didn’t matter. Ralph and her dad wanted to fuck her, and both of them got to. But everyone else still wanted to fuck her as well, and worse, people tended to remember her.

And about a month after they decided to go, the three of them set off for Norway in a small rented cargo boat. Nothing special and purposefully so. Not big, not fast, and not memorable. They all hoped this trip would be worth it.
