The pier

…which was a carnival on the pier.

While the mall was Brian and Andrew’s favourite inland place to hang out, they adored the pier and seaside with all its carnival rides, quaint stores, and rolling beaches.

Andrew was relieved that he was at least somewhere fun and could be genuinely enthused, but he would still need to try extra hard to give Brian the best date ever and then gently announce that ‘her’ father had gotten an even better-paying job across the country, so ‘she’ wouldn’t be seeing him anymore.

‘She’ would have to keep in contact with text if Brian needed to, but would eventually have to say ‘she’ had gotten a new boyfriend and had to move on, and Andrew would be sure to be there to comfort his best bud all the way.

“So what do you wanna do first?”, asked Brian.
