Seeing Eldra go down, Marduk rushed to pick her up so that he could carry the fellow dragonborn to safety with him and the slime when they made their escape, but failed as the snapdragons flailed their vines to keep him back. He managed to dodge the flailing appendages of the snapdragons though, none of them landing a hit.

"Slime, you go try and see if you can grab Eldra this time while I keep them occupied!" Marduk yelled at the slimegirl as he continued avoiding the lashing vines coming from the creatures, keeping them distracted for her to go in.
