The next day
New Questions
You were for lack of better terms hiding out right now. Harmony had as you promised limped to class you only know because your crow had tailed her to class from a distance. It was funny to see as she lied saying she had tripped when climbing some stairs but the girls of her dorm knew better.
Needless to say Harmony couldn’t keep a secret when it came to her sex life with you but then again if you had wingmen you would probably wouldn’t be able to either. It was obvious what happened next the girls of House Phoniex did what they did best they gossiped and gossiped before long outside of the faculty and staff all the girls knew about you and Harmony’s sexual exploits not graphically thank goodness but just enough that it led to your current situation.
Yup you were hiding out being a pickpocket on the streets though had taught how to blend with the crowds or hide in the shadows. It wasn’t easy but you had never seen Harmony angry except when you first met and that even was probably just her being indignant. You weren’t gonna take you chances as Asher and Arnan had given you same dating advice and had warned about associating yourself with any females as things could go from simple to complicated in a moment.
Sure you could use your pocket watch to avoid everyone but then again you needed to practice your evasion skills it could prove useful during your duels because you can’t hit a wizard if you don’t know where they are. Besides your gut still told you that you were being watched not now but it probably wouldn’t be long before your tail came back.
Another flock of house Wyvern girls walked pass your hiding spot as you looked down from the column you sat up in. It was hard to believe how quickly though things had changed regarding the girls at the very least. Whereas before your relationship with Harmony they didn’t even look in your general direction now after this gossip chances are the girls would be after you like a wolf hunting its prey.
Looking around you could see the coast was clear. You silently dropped from column before walking along your ears at attention for anyone walking nearby. You heard footsteps coming the left of the hallway intersection you ducked into a small gap between the wall and a pillar holding slowing your breathing as you waited for them to depart when you started hearing voices.
“Dr. Haas how is he doing?” Peeking from behind the pillar you could see the headmaster and Dr. Haas speaking. “He hasn’t shown any signs of change physically or mentally, his magic is unchanged, with no signs of the mark or evidence of influence from the beast.”
Nodding the headmaster spoke. “Good he is safe for now however the Order of Wizards will be here for the dueling league we cannot allow anything to go wrong especially now with the Black Hand on the move they will do everything their power to try and get to him. Alert me if anything changes anything at all.” Dr. Haas nodded before walking away leaving the headmaster alone.
Then Dr. Price walked up to the headmaster and began to speak. “Adolf the results from the DNA sample the twins provided are in and well its him.” The headmaster held out his hand before Dr. Price handed him a paper. “The test results were conclusive Nathan is my nephew he is Stephanie’s son.” Dr. Price said as she twiddled her thumbs nervously. “Do you plan to tell him who you are?” The headmaster said as he handed the paper back to Dr. Price.
“I want to but how do I tell him? Based on what Dr. Connors has told me Nathan is paranoid to strangers at best and while I am no stranger its no secret how the overall facility and staff have treated him half wanted him gone the minute his identity was known, a quarter were indifferent to him and the other half wanted to kill him! So how am I supposed to say to him I am your mother’s sister I am your aunt you have a family that loves you dearly.” Dr. Price exclaimed as she began to openly cry.
The headmaster placed a hand on Dr. Price’s shoulder before speaking. “Sadie yes Dr. Connor is the most foremost expert in the wizarding world in both adolescent psychology and psionic magic but what I have seen from the boy is completely different from what Dr. Connors predicted whereas Dr. Connors believed the boy would be a hidden psychopath at worst and a lazy student at best. He has exceeded every single one of my expectations when the incident with the Wyvern boy occured based on what the boy said Nathan could have easily killed, the boy and made it look like a bloody accident you and I both know what Dr. Connors saw during that exam. Infact that boy is lucky Nathan restrained himself because heaven knows I wouldn’t have held back but Nathan did.”
The headmaster continued “Nathan BlackThorn has wanted a family since the moment he learned what one was according to what Dr. Connors found inside young Nathan’s mind when he did the psychological entrance exam. I am not saying it will be easy to break it down to him that your his aunt but I can tell you that you will hate yourself more if you don’t tell him.”
Dr. Price nodded before the headmaster walked away leaving Dr. Price alone in the hallway before eventually she to walked away. You took a deep breathe attempting to steady your breathing as you collected your thoughts on what you just heard. You weren’t alone, you had an aunt, a family who supposedly loved you and some people named the Black Hand were after you.
Stepping out from your hiding spot you quietly you made your way home you needed to think about all of this.
