You all make a plan, and the wedding goes on with minds swapped.

Somehow your mind clears and calms with these words. You step back and look over at Terri then at Jackie or at least their bodies not sure if you just dreamed this or are they really each other inside.

"How?" you barely whisper as your arms fall to your sides and your body completely relaxes. "Tell me the truth. Are you two really switched, and how can we fix this?"

"Yes, John," comes Jackie's voice. "I am really Terri mentally. I have all her memories and knowledge plus I remember being in my own body when I opened the door. Then there was this flash, and I found myself looking at my own body."

"Jackie?" you say soft and tenderly as you walk over to Terri's body, but she just stares blankly, tears still hanging on her cheeks. You gently wipe them off and say again, "Jackie? Jackie love dove, please speak to me."

Her eyes blink when you say her special nick-name, and her face slowly turns to you so you peer deep into her eyes. Yes, they are different, but deep behind them you can see that essence that you fell in love with. You can sense Jackie in your whole being as you stand next to her. It's unmistakable, totally amazing, and completely weird, but you know absolutely that this woman is the one you love and will soon be marrying, you hope.

"Gerrikins, pooh bear, what can we do?" she pleads so pathetically using your pet name that Terri doesn't even know, and you melt into each others arms. You stroke her head gently noticing how strange it feels because it is Terri's short curls rather than Jackie's thick long hair. A shudder grips you for caressing Terri's body this way, but it vanishes instantly as something inside you overrides the physical difference and tells you that you are holding your true love. "I love you so much and want to marry you today, but how, oh my god, how?" She begins to weep again with her head on your shoulder.

You look over at Terri seeing only Jackie's body, but again that special sense inside you tells you that she is Terri. Terri is always the strong one, so you just mouth to her in silence, "Help."

You watch her take a big breath and let it out before she speaks. "We can all do this and carry out this wedding without anyone knowing different, if we just remain calm," Terri coolly says as she approaches the two of you. "It isn't that hard to take each others place since we all know the routine. We don't have time to try to fix the orb or track down another before the wedding, but we can do that afterward."

"But, ... but," Jackie starts then clears her throat before continuing. "You will have married Gerry instead of me. Your two souls will have been linked by the ceremony even if it looks like my body. It's the souls in God's eye, not the physical."

You hadn't ever thought of it that way, but all you've been taught about religion would confirm that. You and Jackie had actually met at a church function, and it was as much your consistency in belief that drew you close as it was your common interests. You now realize that's why you can feel Jackie right now inside Terri's body and that just re-enforces the fact that it is the souls that matter.

Terri ponders this for a while as you continue to embrace her body with Jackie inside. Finally, she looks over and says, "...
