Time to blow off steam

You stood in the stone practice ground in nothing but your undershirt and pants as you held your ground against a magma titan spewing a stream of fire towards you as you trained your endurance in the elemental shield Dr. Molotov had shown last time. You were sweaty and tired as the magma titan continued breathing fire in an attempt to break your ward only for it crumble to stone having used up all its mana.

You picked up your sweater before placing it over your shoulder and began walking home. You felt a little better but honestly you didn’t know what to do the sigil on your stomach appeared to be failing you never got angry like that and lately you have been hearing voices laughing like before. You took out your wand only to realize the door was unlocked. Opening the door slowly and quietly you saw no signs of damage or **** entry.

Making your way to your room you peered inside to find Harmony sitting on your bed her back against the two pillows her face tucked into her knees. Looking around you could see tears slowly hitting the covers of your bed. Walking over you kneeled next to the bed before gently gripping one of Harmony’s hands. “Hey its me what's wrong?” You said your voice filled with concern.

Looking up you could see Harmony’s eyes red and puffy she been crying for a while. Then you saw it a red mark on her cheek along with a bruise on one of her hands. Your eyes sharpened before looked Harmony in the eyes and spoke. “Who did this to you?” You asked trying rein in the anger and wraith bubbling up inside of you.

Harmony looked away tears now streaming down her face as she covered her mouth with her other hand. Standing up you kicked your shoes off before joining her on the bed sitting next to her wrapping an arm around her back bringing her closer to you.

“Harmony who did this to you.” asked anger barely being restrained now.” Harmony looked up at you tears still streaming down her face. She removed her hand trembling as she spoke. “M-my father.” She said before simply crashing into your chest.

Your anger and wraith was now no longer contained and soon the once calm atmosphere of the campus and as far away as the capital city of Santa Clara was replaced by a dark rage, not felt for centuries, students, civilians, wizards and staff alike began seeing visions of hellfire raining from the skies, floods drowning and smashing anything in sight, lighting strikes decimating and scorching the earth, earthquakes threatening to open the earth, the very atmosphere smelt of **** and decay and for a brief second the world of wizards stopped before the atmosphere receded as quickly and suddenly as it had come it disappeared.

Taking a breath you could feel Harmony trembling in fear. You stroked her back as she continued crying. “I am sorry its just been a long day is all.” You muttered to her as she slowly calmed down. After a few minutes of trembling and calming her down Harmony eventually was still before she spoke once more. “My father he came to check on my progress and well I got a 90 on one of my exams. He hit me for that and then I told him you and I were dating.” She said pausing before tears began spilling out once more. “H-he told me I would no longer be his daughter and that he would disown me if I didn’t brake up with you and stopping seeing you immediately.”

Your heart stopped as those words sinked in you mentally prepared your self calming yourself before she said her next words holding her closer to you as you prepared for what she said next waiting for the eventual heartbreak.

Then Harmony spoke. “I told him that I guess he was no longer my father and thats when he gave me the bruise.” Harmony said smiling as she looked up at your face filled shock. You stuttered before finally speaking. “Y-you mean you got disowned from the Ashcroft family just to stay with me?” You asked shocked beyond belief.

Harmony only smiled before speaking. “In the time I have spent with my father he never once treated me like a daughter never once cared or smiled as far as I could remember never once acted like the father I wanted. But you Nathan in the brief time I have known you I never imagined how free, happy and fulfilled I would be showing me a side of life I only dreamed about. I knew when my father presented me with that choice that there was only one option.”

Tears fell from your eyes as you stared in Harmony’s face even in pain and suffering she still smiled at you. Kissing her on the forehead you held her before speaking. “Thank you.” In response she only rested her head on your chest content to be held.

The anger and wraith that threatened to release soon fell asleep once more a new atmosphere began to radiate through the campus one of tranquility and calmness. The headmaster however was only concerned especially at the sudden changes in the atmosphere but also in the earlier visions he saw along with many of the senior facility and staff that dark rage they had only felt once before during the Magnus War something dark and deadly had awoken once more and based on the visions they saw it wasn’t happy not one bit.
