School Starts

It had been a busy week training with the now introduced Dr. Molotov he had you drilled day and night only giving Saturdays and Sundays off for a break. It was a nice change of pace however as unlike other teacher or coaches you had encountered he genuinely cared about teaching you devoting time to teach you everything from dueling to Russian.

Needless to say you were content as best as you could your grades were good, most people had finally gotten used to you and had left you well enough alone some still tried start problems but with winter formal and the bronze dueling league coming up most people were busy doing other things.

As you entered your dorm with your suit of armor following closely behind you. You saw tall shadow behind you. Turning around you saw a tall skinny redhaired man behind you with a black cloack and Sarah next to him.

“My name is Alvis Bloodwood I am sure you have met my daughter before and I am terribly sorry however we must speak now Mr. BlackThorn.” The man said stoically in response you unlocked the door to your dorm motioning for them to enter. Finally you closed the door to the dorm behind you as the entered locking it before turning to speak.

“Alright Sarah already told me that the Bloodwood Family were old friends of my family and that you needed to speak with me urgently now how can I help you Mr. Bloodwood.” You said as you hung you black sweater on a hook.

The man didn’t move looking at his daughter once more before turning to you. “We are here to honor the marriage contract your father had arranged between our families.” Mr. Bloodwood said with much ****.

However you held your hand up before speaking. “So let me get this straight my father arranged for a marriage contract between me and your daughter am I correct?” The man nodded in response. “Well as beautiful as your daughter is it sounds like this marriage was **** by my father is that correct? I am assuming you don’t want this marriage correct?”

The man stood silent before reaching into his cloak and producing a document handing it to you. Looking the document over you skimmed through the document before setting it down on your coffee table and taking a seat motioned for Mr. Bloodwood and Sarah to do the same.

“I can see clear as day that according this document the Bloodwood family are family of vampires correct?” Mr. Bloodwood nodded in response. “Continuing Vampires naturally struggle to have children and reproduce outside if creating new vampires and in return for a potion my father brewed that increased you wife’s fertility your daughter was to marry me is that correct?” Mr. Bloodwood nodded confirming your suspicions

You sighed another wrench in your own life plans because of your father. You looked the contract over before tearing it apart and throwing it into the fire much the two vampire’s surprise. “There now your daughter is longer bound by this contract to marry me and you are both free of this agreement.

The father daughter duo looked on in confusion and shock before you elaborated. “I am not my father I have no need to marry a woman against her own wishes much less antagonizing family friends with an agreement such as this. So long as the Bloodwood family is allied with the BlackThorn family that is enough for me now is there anything I can help you with?”

The father looked at you awe before speaking. “You truly are you mother’s son Mr. BlackThorn and know that while I am not on good terms with your father I find no fault in my dealings with you on behalf of my family I thank you and know that the Bloodwoods will stand by you as we always have.”

Nodding to the father daughter duo they left your dorm before the grandfather clock struck the hour as 5:00 it was time for dinner.
