Jake tried on several outfits, at first I thought he was gonna just strip and get changed in front of me right there. I guessed he wasn't quite comfortable doing that or didn't think I would be if he did, he would disappear into his en-suite each time to try on a different outfit or combination of clothes. He looked good in most of it, but that was more the gift of his natural looks really. There were a couple of questionable items he tried that I didn't think worked. Jake seemed to genuinely appreciate my feedback and would rule them out upon my suggestion. After we had pretty much got it down to black skinny jeans and an off white slim fit shirt, with a pair of brown boots, and matching colour belt. That was something I learned, apparently, you should always match your shoes and belt colours, looks weird otherwise. I had never really thought about it until then but I did make sense. The other bit of advice was don't wear a white sock on a night out, something I was very guilty of, I guess I was going to have to look out one of my few pairs of non-white socks later.

Jake: 'so who you trying to impress tonight?'

Me: 'why do you think I'm trying to impress anyone?#

Jake: 'come on, new clothes?'

Me: 'well I dunno if I'm trying to impress anyone specific really'

Jake: 'Ah you hoping that your gonna lose the V-card tonight'

Hearing someone else say it out loud made me feel a bit silly, Jake, fortunately, seemed to play it off as something perfectly normal as expected which helped ebb my anxiety away.

Jake: 'Makes sense, end of freshers most people are gonna be drunk and horny'

Me: 'Yeah'

Jake: 'Seriously though, don't pressure yourself into it. Less likely to happen if you do. Just be you and it will be fine. If not tonight its no biggy either.'

Me: 'Thanks man'

Jake: 'hey I have done nothing, but if you need a wingman let me know'

Me: 'not sure having someone like you stood next to me will help me if I'm honest'

Jake: 'what you mean?'

Me: 'well your like, er you. I don't think most girls would take a second look at me if I had you and your hot stuff distracting them'

Jake blushed at the compliment.

Jake: 'honestly man, you just as good looking as me. Better to be honest I think'

Me: 'You're just saying that to make me feel better'

Jake: 'No seriously, how many times have you had girls chasing you recently?'

Me: 'well I dunno about chasing'

Jake: 'haha they are, all the girls in my flat think your hot, even Emma.'

Me: 'really?'

Jake: 'yeah, and that even when you haven't had any good clothes to wear most of the time'

Me: 'haha I suppose'

Jake: 'Now you gonna dress as well with these new things and you gonna have to have me around to keep all the girls and guys from drooling over you'

Me: 'oh so that why you helped me out with the clothes?'

Jake: 'I like to think of it as community service'

We shared a warm smile after I smirked at Jakes comment

Me: 'So who are you trying to impress tonight?'

Jake: 'Oh that's a secret'

Me:'really?'

Jake: 'yep'

Me: 'not gonna tell me?'

Jake: 'nope'

Me: 'boring'

Jake: 'haha yep, but who are you most interested in?

Me: 'oh no you don't get to find out that without telling me yours'

Jake: 'Fair play. In that case, I know you have had offers to from several for pre's. Who are you going to?'

I guess it was time to decide where I was going tonight, I hadn't really thought about it too much but wherever I went for pre's would probably affect my chances with each person too. Where do I go?
