Picking up my clothes

The moment had almost arrived. Tonight was gonna be the night I could feel it. Literally, I could feel a semi-building just at the thought that I may be finally about to lose my V-card. First I had to go pick up my clothes from Jake across the hall.

I rang the doorbell of 205 and waited. Emma my short blonde neighbour with the indie scene look answered. I hadn't seen her much recently, she hadn't gone to the party at 508 the other week.

Emma: 'Hey man what's up?'

Me: 'new streak?

Emma: 'Huh?'

I indicated toward her hair, where once there had been only a streak of purple in her short blonde hair she now had a green one right next to it as well.

Emma: 'oh yeah, got bored you know'

Me: 'looks good'

Emma: 'thanks'

Me: 'Is Jake back from work?'

Emma: 'yeah he is just getting ready for tonight in his room'

Me: 'cool. So you going out tonight with everyone else?'

Emma: 'Nah I'm heading to see a band at a cool little place in town, more my scene'

Me: 'fair enough, you will have to take me one time'

Emma: 'It would be funny to see your good boy image rocking out'

Me: 'haha I could surprise you'

Emma: 'maybe I know not to judge If you decide you want to tag along drop me a message and I could probably get you in tonight.'

Me: 'Cool I'll think about it but may not be able to tonight. Thanks though'

Emma: 'Yeah no worries I get it. Anyway I gotta go get ready myself, that room is Jakes'

I moved to the door that Emma indicated and knocked. No answer came. I knocked again. Still nothing. I tested the handle to see if the rooms was locked, it moved down and I felt the door begin to open. I could hear the noise of the shower running. Not wanting to freak Jake out I called out to him.

Me: 'Hey Jake, It's Alex!'

I heard some response from the on-suite but couldn't make it out.

Me: 'What!'

After a brief pause, I saw the bathroom door open a crack and Jakes head peek out around the side.

Jake: 'Oh hey Alex'

Me: 'sorry I can come back another time'

Jake: 'Nah don't worry I'm just finishing up, your stuff is on the bed'

Me: 'Cool I'll just grab it and go then'

His head popped back into the bathroom only to emerge a moment later.

Jake: 'Actually, do you mind hanging around. I need your opinion on something?'

Me: 'Yeah sure no problem'

This time his head disappeared again and I heard the door close. I headed into his room and looked at everything on the bed. I was gobsmacked, he had got everything we had picked out from the shop. I was pretty sure that was more than the budget I had given him would have covered, even with his staff discount.

*ping*

I was snapped out of my thought by my phone. It was a message from Abby.

[Hey, you wanna come to do pres at ours tonight, no pressure?]

I hadn't really expected to hear from Abby until our 'date'. It did mean I had another option for pres before the party. It was the first time I had felt so popular and in demand, only a few weeks ago my party and social experience were pretty much non-existent. Now I was getting too many invites, well at least tonight.

I heard the shower stop as I pondered where I was gonna head tonight. I perched awkwardly on the edge of his bed next to as I thought. Jake emerged only a moment late from his en-suite. For some reason, I had assumed he was gonna dry up and get changed in there seeing as I was here. I that was stupid to think he had his clothes in his own en-suite, I wouldn't. Instead, he stepped out with only a towel wrapped around his body. Now there is the cliche of describing someone as tall dark and handsome but really that's what Jake was, seeing him now almost naked I couldn't help but understand why Kate had been throwing herself at him when I first came round. He wasn't the most muscly guy in the world but had nice physic, you could see he had a healthy body fat percentage where the definition of his muscles was visible but not ****. He had a light amount a body hair across his pecks and a trail from his belly button down towards where his towel was wrapped around his body. His hair was wet and slicked back as he stepped toward the mirror in his room grabbing a hairdryer that was there as he dried his hair off a bit.

I must have looked moronic just sat there essentially checking Jake out, he didn't say anything though and didn't seem to feel any of the awkwardness I was. He turned the hairdryer off after getting the worst of the moisture out of his hair, turning to me he leaned against his desk and smiled.

Jake: 'So how do you like your clothes?'

Me: 'Oh erm yeah it's great, but how did you get all of this in my budget'

Jake: 'I may have gone a little over, but don't worry I covered it'

Me: 'What? Don't worry I'll pay for it all'

Jake: 'seriously don't worry, I was the one that went over budget. I'm paying'

Me: 'But...'

Jake: 'No I insist'

Me: 'seriously?'

Jake: 'Yep'

Me: 'thanks man, but why are you doing this for me'

Jake: 'I feel like I owed you one for helping out Kish the other night'

Me: 'you really didn't have to'

Jake: 'I know, but I wanted to as well'

Me: 'honestly thanks Jake'

Jake: 'no worries, you more that one new set of clothes if your gonna be able to impress the ladies anyway'

Me: 'ah, noticed my limited wardrobe'

Jake: 'It's not really har to tell. Now at least it will be a little harder'

Me: 'haha yeah. So what was it that you wanted to ask me?'

Jake: 'Ah yeah that, well it's a bit weird but I want your advice on what I should wear tonight?'

Me: 'Me? advise you, on clothes? We did just talk about how limited my wardrobe is yeah'

Jake: 'True, but what you do have suits you. Consider it a test interview if you want to get a job at the shop as well'

Me: 'I guess. Still, surely one of the girls will have a more valuable opinion than me?'

Jake: 'Nah there busy I expect, besides I need a guys opinion.'

Me: 'ok sure, I feel like I owe you anyway for the clothes you got me'

Jake: 'Good man'
