After your dad finished getting your sister's stuff situated away in your dorm room, he gave the both of you a firm hug and wished you both a great week together. Then, right before he left, he handed you a small piece of paper. On it was a phone number.

"That's your mom's new work number. When you feel ready, call her. Catherine's right. Your mom is starting to come around. There are certain events that have changed her mind recently, but, honestly, I believe she never stopped loving you. She just has to learn to adjust to the new you."

Looking at the paper, you feel a conflict going on with one side wanting to just tear it into tiny pieces and another side wishing to reconcile. In the end, you decide to place on your desk.

"I'll think about it. Now, shoo dad. This lady has to change into her lay about clothes."

Your dad laughs and heads out the door. Once you close the door behind him, you turn around and see your sister sitting nervously on your single size bed.

"So.....what are we going to do about sleep arrangements sis? I don't want to leave you on the floor just to accommodate me."

You walk over to your dresser and strip out of your clothes as you go over what schoolwork you still need to finish before hitting the sack.

"You don't have to worry about, Catherine. I'll just have you sleep curled next to me. You know. Like a spoon or one of your body pillows."

The reason behind her fluster is the fact that you are completely naked as you walk over to your desk and laptop to finish your English paper.
