Leap at the older man.

With the world in slow motion, the older man holds out an open palmed hand towards you, in the process of calling something out, while the young man begins to train his rifle on you. He barely manages to get the words "Hands U-" out, before you're up in his face, using the momentum of your sudden advance to strike him square in the chest with an augmented punch. He goes reeling backwards, and you follow him to the ground, hands on his jacket and bringing a headbutt down into his skull.

Before he can wrap his mechanical arms around you and hold you in place, you spring off him, standing on his thigh, only to realise the young man with the rifle isn't in front of you any more. The split second of surprise he has on you while your turn around to see him standing inside the shuttle is all he needs to land a clean shot. You're fast, but not fast enough to dodge a surprise rifle round at point blank.

Before you can make any kind of response, the shot cracks out, and a bullet crashes into your chest. The armor of your stealth suit catches the round but it still hits you like a sledgehammer, launching you off the older man. You land on your back on charred grass, outside the shuttle. In the moments it takes you to recover from the shock of being hit, the older man is back on his feet, and stumbling towards you.
