"We don't know when she'll be back, we should go as soon as possible." Allegra nods in approval as you speak, Celeste doesn't say anything but continues to look concerned.
"You two stay here, I'll get my car." Allegra goes to retrieve her car leaving you with Celeste, an awkward silence hanging between the two of you. She fidgets as you wait, seemingly in discomfort over your decision.
"Celeste I-"
"It's fine! We'll be fine...I hope." Before you can talk more Allegra's car rolls up to the two of you and you get in. The drive to the house is almost entirely silent, the three of you are too on edge to make any real conversation.
When you finally reach the house you let out a shocked gasp. Parts of the house still stand, albeit precariously, but most of the house is nothing but wreckage. It looks like the house was blocked off at some point but the site is abandoned now - judging by an abandoned police car that looks like it was destroyed by some monster it wasn't abandoned willingly. The car rolls to a stop and all three of you get out allowing you to better view the scene.
"Why isn't anyone here?"
"People kept disappearing here specifically, so they left. Some kind of feds are supposed to be showing up to take over but they haven't made an appearance yet." Allegra inspects some massive claw marks on the police car as she speaks. "Okay, what are we looking for exactly?"
"I...don't know." You and Allegra both turn to Celeste in shock, a lock of guilt on her face. "I know it's powerful, dangerous, and somewhere here."
Allegra sighs and marches into the wreckage with a flashlight, Celeste following behind. As you follow them in they split, Allegra looking at a precariously balanced staircase while Celeste pokes around what appears to be the ruins of the entrance to the basement.
