VC Day 1 - Thank god

"Thank God you're here," you say pathetically when Demi comes in, putting your arms around her for a hug, but careful about her pregnant belly...

She seems surprised... your relationship is... a bit odd, because you barely know each other, so you don't usually do things like this.

You hug her, and she hugs you back.

"What's wrong?" she asks. "Oh God. It's her, isn't it?"

"It's OK," you say into her neck. It's just been... stressful.

She's trying not to laugh.

"I understand," she says, and you have a feeling that she really does. "Can we have some dinner? It's been a long day."

Right... she's been working at a desk at the Succubus HQ all day.

Cas and Pol made pasta. You sit down with Demi, and Tari comes in wearing... you don't know what it is. Some ridiculously sexy robe with feathers on it that you can pretty much see through.

She sits at the table with the two of you.

"What do they have you doing?" she asks Demi as you all start eating.

"Performance ratings," Demi complains. "But the student ones from the university got mixed in with the licensed Succubus records, so it's a hot mess. I'll tell you, some of these seniors at the Uni are better than I am."

"In my day, you worked in the field from your first day at Uni," Tari says.

"I know, Mom."

"You're brand new and getting fucked in the ass by some huge scary guy, and you don't know what you're doing..." Tari goes on.

Demi rolls her eyes. "Yeah, things were stupid back then."

"It was good learning experience. You learn."

"Sure, Mom."

Dinner is like that... Tari one-ups everything that Demi mentions, and Demi patiently puts up with it.

By the time you finish eating, Demi looks even more exhausted as Tari walks out of the room, with an unnecessary amount of hip-swaying.

Demi looks at you tiredly.

"That's my mom," she says.

"And my mother in law," you reply.

Demi looks apologetic. "I like you a lot."

You blush. "I kind of like you too," you say.

"Am I too pregnant to sit in your lap?"

You come to your senses and sit up. "No. Nope."

She comes over and gets comfortable... yeah, she's a bit heavy, but it's OK. You put your arms around her.

"I don't like paperwork," she complains.

"If I had to choose between paperwork and getting laid, I know which way I'd go," you agree.

"Yeah..." She sighs. "Well, this is fun too." She put a hand on her belly. "I didn't think I'd be this excited."

You can see that... she is really happy about being a mother. She might have done this to make her family jealous and gain status, but... maybe that's changing.

"You can't breathe, can you?" she asks.

"I can," you say, sounding a bit strained.

She laughs and gets off you. "I need a bath." Yeah... she's a working adult who just had a full day.

"OK, yeah. I understand," you say as Cas and Pol come out to take away the dishes.

Demi smiles at you.

"You're coming, right?" she asks.
