Getting Settled

We arrived home at the flat, none of the excitement had gone out of Sarah, she was just as lively as when she got off the train. In fact, now that she had arrived at our place she seemed even happier. I opened up the flat and she bounded inside. I showed her around the flat and took her to the guest bedroom, where she would be living for the summer. She took in the view of the small room and stood smiling, red faced and sweating from the heat; "Perfect." I placed her bag in her room and left to give her some space. But as I did, her head popped out of the door and asked, "Aren't you going to show me around?"

I showed her around the reasonable sized flat, perfect for a family of three. In this case for summer it might be a little cramped with two plus one adults, but it would work well enough. As we passed the bathroom, Sarah said, "Ah, right, a shower. That sounds like a good idea." Without any ceremony she took off her top and walked into the shower. I could see her back and the straps of her bra. I was dumbfounded that she would be so brazen, or perhaps confident with herself. She unclasped her bra and was about to take it off, when she realised she had not closed the door. Holding her bra onto her chest with one hand, she turned to the door. She saw me there, staring. She smiled and simply said, "No peeking." She closed the door and continued with her undress. Shortly after I heard the water begin to run. I walked away, unsure of myself a little. I went into the kitchen and began to make us some cool drinks, perhaps she might not need one, but I sure did.

"John." I heard Sarah calling me. "Yeah, can I help you with something?" She called back through the door, "There doesn't seem to be a towel. I can use this small hand towel, but I don't think it's going to cover much of me." I quickly grabbed a bath towel and took it back to Sarah in the bathroom. She opened the door to take it.
