It didn't take me long to respond to such an easy question. "You look amazing Sarah, I know what you mean about the heat, but I think you've picked the right outfit." Nothing wrong with making a girl feel special. She beamed at the response to her question. "Thank you, oh my parents would have said that it is too revealing. But it's hot and I have you here to protect me from all the people staring". True enough, although it certainly wouldn't stop me from glancing myself.

I took her bag in one hand and she grabbed the other. She was looking all around, everything seemed to excite her and everything amused her too. I looked down at her holding my hand, though I didn't say anything. "So what's first John? Are we going sight seeing, or for food, oh I am starving! But wow it's hot!" We had just left the main train station and left the protection of the air-conditioning. "Well, I was thinking I would take you back to our flat and you can settle in before we go to a local bistro." She beamed back, "Great idea, I could do with a cool shower before we go get some food."

We arrived at the car, I loaded her bag and we set off back to the flat. All along the way she was staring out of the window asking me all sorts of questions about the city, it's history, things to do, anything that came to mind really. She also asked after Anna, "How long is Anna going to be out of town?" I thought for a moment, trying to consider how long she would want to be away and concluding it might be longer than just a couple of days. "It's not set in stone, but I would think that it will be at least 3 days, perhaps 4." She thought for a moment, then smiled, "Let's not have too much fun while she is away." She winked and left it at that. Though the wink had me wondering, no I was confusing my wife's meaning of a wink with my guest's.
