The name isn't right

Sally looks on in growing horror as she looks at the book's cover. The author's name says "Rowena Sugarbuns" instead of "H.B. Quiverly" like Hilda's original.

"Um... you changed the names like I asked, right?" Sally says as she feels a ball of worry forming in the pit of her stomach and growing larger by the second.

"Of course," Neska cheerily says. "It's right there on the cover. I would never do anything to displease Lady Quiverly," the merchant says as she looks at Hilda.

"What?" Hilda asks in confusion. "Do you mean me?"

"Who else would I mean?" Neska asks in confusion. "You servant told me to change the name so you wouldn't be embarrassed."

"L-lemme see that!" Sally says as she rips its out of Hilda's hands and starts flipping through the pages. "No! It's all wrong!"

The two other women look over at Sally.

"Hilda..." she mutters as she flips through the book.

"What?" Hilda asks in her own confusion.

"Hilda..." Sally mumbles as she keeps turning the pages. Her breathing growing more and more frantic. "Hilda... Hilda... Hilda!"

"What? What? What?" Hilda asks as she becomes more unsettled by her companion's erratic behavior.

"What's wrong?" Neska asks as the tears start streaming dawn Sally's face. "I... I don't understand."

"You changed the wrong name!" Sally screams. "You were supposed to take out Hilda's name, not the name on the cover!"

Neska's face goes red. "Oh... um..."

Hilda gasps in shock. "Y-you mean...?"

She takes the book from Sally and starts to look through it.

"I... I'm ruined," she says in a stunned, quiet voice. "My... my reputation... I..."

"Can't you change it?" Sally frantically asks Neska.

"N-no... the first printing has already gone out, and the next three are already in production at several different printers. Changing it now would eat up all of the profit!"

"Everyone... everyone is going to know..." Hilda stammers as she looks at the other two women and then faints.
