Beaky the Penguin's

Lauren couldn’t believe this was happening to her. Here she was, the most attractive woman in town, being dragged into a children’s store while wearing only a diaper. She blushed heavily at the idea that anyone she knew would see her and recognize her.

“Now, let’s see what we can buy here, shall we?” Maria asked as she grabbed a basket and walked forward.

Lauren began to hyperventilate as she looked around, her heart beating so fast it felt like it was going to explode. Thankfully, it seemed that the parents were only paying attention to their own kids; Lauren sighed in relief. However, this relief was short-lived when she looked up and saw that Maria was heading down the baby aisle; causing the poor woman to turn beet red.

Maria reached out and filled the basket with pacifiers, diapers, and changing supplies. Lauren whimpered as she covered her face. Peeking through her fingers, Lauren saw a woman with her sleeping granddaughter. The woman smiled gently and waved as she giggled, pushing her cart forward past Maria and Lauren. Lauren felt herself go even redder. There was no way that she would ever live this down!

Maria left the aisle and looked down towards Lauren. “See anything you like?” she asked. “We can buy one more thing.”

Lauren was about to argue when she saw something that made her heart jump. It was a clothes rack filled with shirts that had images of Beaky on them. They were humiliating, to say the least, but if that meant that she had something to wear besides this degrading plastic garment on her hips, then so be it!

“Oh, that’s perfect!” Maria chimed, interrupting Lauren before she could even say anything.

Maria reached towards one of the shelves and pulled down a large stuffed doll of the annoying character. She handed it to Lauren as she rolled the stroller towards the check out. Lauren, with the reddest face imaginable and seeing no other choice, hugged the doll tightly to her chest in an effort to cover herself.

Only to go even more redder when she heard the doll say, “You’re my special Tundra Pal!” Maria began laughing as Lauren was on the verge of tears. Could today get any worse?!
