Little girl t-shirt

Lauren saw the clothes that Martha held up. It was a small t-shirt. It was a bright pastel pink with a picture of a smiling, cartoon rainbow. Lauren balked; that shirt was obviously designed for children!

“I can’t wear that!” Lauren stated, turning pink.

“Of course you can.” Martha said, smiling sweetly. “Here, I’ll help you.”

“That’s not what –“ Lauren began; but before she could finish, Martha placed the shirt over Lauren’s head. Lauren struggled for a bit before sighing and lifting up her arms, allowing Martha to slide the shirt the rest of the way down. Lauren looked down at the shirt and saw that it looked ridiculous on her. And not only that, but the shirt was also just a little bit short; it would probably expose her diaper if she wasn’t careful.

“Ta-Da! Don’t you look precious?” Martha asked, turning Lauren towards a mirror.

Lauren paled at what she saw in the mirror. That…that couldn’t be her? It wasn’t her! Was it? Lauren reached out to touch the reflection. When she made contact, her face went scarlet. The little girl with pigtails, a rainbow shirt, and a diaper that was looking back at her…was HER!

“Let’s go wait for Officer Janet now, okay honey?” Martha asked, grabbing Lauren by the hand and leading her back out into the lobby.
