Still, just because it could dodge her stabs once or twice, it didn't meant it'd always go like that.
So she thought as it wrapped itself around her back, the girl feeling the ovipositor sneak up... and immediately moving to impale it once again with her stick, though regardless of how her maneuver turned out to be she'd then jump back so she'd land on her back... no, on the vermin to be precise, hoping to smash it flat on the ground.

(Use 1 action to attack by stabbing the ovipositor, use 1 action to attack by jumping back and smash the Tektite to the ground with her body weight)
