The stick was dodged, though it gave her enough space for... a headbutt.
When she realized what she had done she felt as if she pretty much hit a penis with her head, at the same time realizing that action pretty much flushed all her proud elven elegance down the drain... but right now it wasn't the time to grieve over the lost pleasantries and instead fight to avoid motherhood, as much of a motherhood as it could be called to get a few eggs laid in her stomach from above.

Who knew, maybe she'd just digest them and go on with her life... no, even if she ate eggs before it was never because someone or something laid them in there, and she sure didn't want for this to be her first time.

That was why she immediately used her free hand to try and grab that fluttering ovipositor or at least keep it at bay, while this time the stick would try to hit a more stationary target... namely the Tektite itself, his eye to be precise.
Even if she didn't get it, stabbing the stick around there should still hurt enough the monster for it to let her go at least...

...and if everything went as planned, by the time this was over she'd be holding a panicking, blind, impaled Tektite by the ovipositor. Eww!
