Sneaky Vines

Your group continued down the path to the survivor camp Neku mentioned last night. You shiver a bit as a cold breeze blew towards you, signaling the arrival of fall. We need some clothing to fight off the coldness. You thought as you checked on your sister. Kate is struggling to keep up with you three. "Are we there yet?" She whines. Neku groans at the question. ‘That's the fourth time she asks that.’ He thinks this, but he calmly replies, "It's just a little further now." The Zoroark turns his head towards you. "Not much stamina huh?" he whispers. "She's just a little girl. Just be patient." You answer him.

Rachael was walking a feet away from you. The rabbit knew you were upset with her and was unsure of how to start her apology. Eventually she inched herself closer to you and started to speak. "Hey Rai." You turn your head towards her for a moment before looking onwards again. Your friend continues to speak "Well, uh, about what happened earlier. I, um, want to apologize." You turn to her again, this time listening to her. "It was funny I'll admit, but I should've stopped when you became upset. I didn't and that was wrong. So again, I'm sorry." You thought about her words and believed that she's sincere with it, so you say, "I forgive you."

Her amber eyes beamed up after you answer. "Really?! Uh, T-Thank you." She gets out, obviously shocked from you forgiving her so soon. "Don't mention it. It'll take a lot more than that to really piss me off." While you are aware of your chubbiness, you just didn't like it when she kept going on with it. "Rai, you're not mad anymore?" You turn to see that Kate was able to catch up with you. "I've forgiven her, so we're cool." That brought a smile to your sisters face.

With you three together, Neku asks, "Where you three come from anyway?" "We come from the town of Aurora." Rachael answers. He nods, but then he realizes that their town and Silverhills were pretty close. With that, he asks, "How long have you been traveling out here?" "Well, to be honest, this is actually my fourth day." You admit. His nods at your answer. "Make sense, kids like you reaching here from that place.." You got annoyed at that remark. "Ma an Rachael aren’t kids! We’re 18. " You angrily respond. "Right, but that’s a budding age of an adult." He fires back calmly. "You have a point there." You admit.

You notice that she's holding the round stone you gave her. "Don't lose it now." You gently, but firmly warn her. Neku wondered what you meant before casting his eyes on Kate's item. "That's.." He starts to say before a loud buzzing can be heard, "Did you hear that?" Neku asks you. "Yeah." you reply as sparks flicker from your cheeks. Out from a thicket of trees, two Beedrills came charging out, stinger arms aimed out towards you four. You and Neku dodged one while Rachael grabs Kate and jumps out of the second one's way.

The Beedrills recovered rather quickly and appeared in front of you. They're clearly infected because of their purple insect-like eyes. You tell your sister to get back, but before she could do anything, two vines appeared out of nowhere and wrapped themselves around you and Rachael! Kate scrambled back a bit and watched in horror as the two struggle to escape, but the vines won't budge as it drags them towards a thicket of trees. The source turns out to be a Bayleef hidden within, sporting purple eyes like the two bees. Neku tries to intervene, but the Beedrills prevent him from helping. As you and your friend get dragged away…
