Not your Usual Hidden Power

You and Rachael struggle hard against the thick vines who are pulling them closer to the infected plant Pokémon. They don't yield from their movement and your friend's struggles are slowing down, tiring or losing hope, you can't tell. Your mind immediately starts flashing back your life. Your combat training with your dad, medical teachings from your mom, all the way to the promise you made to them. You respond to it by struggling even harder. You haven't come this far just to be plant food!

Kate is hidden nearby watching the whole scene. The Pachirisu is horrified at seeing her brother and his friend being caught by the feral Bayleef. She's fighting back tears in her eyes and clutching her stone in her paws. She suggests calling out to Neku, but the fox is busy dealing with the infected hornets to provide assistance. Something, anything, please help them. Please! Your sister pleads as she tightens her grip on her stone.

All of the sudden, a glow surrounded the small stone. Kate opened her eyes and gasp from the sight. The same glow appeared out of your pack. The Bayleef was so shocked that he let you and Rachael go. You notice this and quickly paralyze him with thunder wave, then you reach into your pack and take out your stone. "Rai, what's going on?" Rachael asked you witnessing the scene. "I-I don't know! I--" you couldn't finished as the light brightens and envelopes you.

Neku, who was fighting off the Beedrills, notices the situation and focuses the dark energy within and let it loose around him with the dark pulse attack. afterwards, he dashed towards you and Rachael. "Rai, are you ok?" Rachael tries to reach you, but you don't respond. The Buneary was about to reach for you, but a fox's paw grabs her. "Don't! let it finish." "Let it finish? I don't know if he's fine." "He's fine, I've seen this before." Before she asks how, the light subsides.

You finally regain your senses after the light fades. When it brightened, you felt cut off with everything around you. You look at Rachael and Neku, both having a surprise look on them. "Guys, what's wrong?" You ask in confusion. Rachael speaks out, "Rai! Your body!" You are confused as to why she mentioned that until you take a look at yourself. Your eyes widen when you notice you look different. While your overall fur hasn't changed, you notice thunderbolt patches on your knees and two on your back. there's black fur on your upper back connected to your shoulders. Your ears colors have switched and the outside appear almost like thunderbolts. The fur on your front and hind paws are yellow instead of brown and have a thunderbolt appearance as well. Lastly, looking back, you notice that you have not one, but two tails behind you.

What is this? You thought as you try to figure out what going on. "Brother." you turn to see your sister, amazed at what happened. "Are you ok?" "I'm fine. It's just-" You were cut off as one of the Beedrills swooped in and tackles Rachael, knocking her down. "Rachael!" You cry out before the other one goes for Kate. You quickly lash out Thundershock towards it. It was unable to outmaneuver your attack and was hit, falling to the ground unconscious. You were surprise that you brought it down in one attack. Your mind turned to the Bayleef who just recovered from his paralysis. You turn to see Rachael gotten up, while sore from the bees attack. Despite your mysterious transformation, you must focus on the fight.

"Kate, I need you to stay back! Rachael, take care of the Beedrill! Neku, You're with me with the Bayleef!" You quickly order them. They nod and Rachael heads off to deal the the infected insect while you and Neku faces the plant type. The Bayleef charges towards the black fox. He doesn't seem frighten as he stands there. What's he doing? you wonder, but then he sidestep his take down and strikes him hard. That's feint attack! You thought, impressed by the sight. You launch Thundershock at the Bayleef. While it was strong, it's still standing. It's standing? I guess even with this power, type differences still matter. The plant type starts gathering power in its leaf. It's preparing a solar beam attack! You need to attack, so you use...
