Where is the Bus? Does anyone find her?

Babes' Burgers and Surf

This was Debbie's favorite diner ever and she didn't have too many opportunities to eat here due to her route being on the other side of town. It was nestled in the more seedy parts of town that tourists usually avoided. She skillfully parked the bus at the far end of the diners lot neighboring a small thicket.

Debbie content with her parking job took the keys out of the ignition and looked back into the bus. She had always had an issue with rummaging through her passengers things that were left behind but ever since she started going to kleptomaniac anonymous meetings, she had the urge to do so less. She did see one bag in particular poking out that looked extra tempting, however she held fast and left the bus in a hurry not to give herself the temptation... In the hurry she forgot to engage the lock for the main door.

As she entered her oasis of surf and turf, there was another thief to be worried about. One that didn't care to chance for the better, one who is just out to make some quick cash off stupid tourists.

The moment Janice caught a glimpse of the burnt yellow school bus with "North Lake High School" emblazoned in black bold letters on the side, she knew she was in luck. Most of the cars she was hitting today we're scant for riches, but she knew the things kids left in their bags on the bus whilst on a field trip, the thought alone made her begin to salivate.

Due to how Debbie parked the banana boat, the door faced the thicket which gave Janice perfect cover from any prying eyes or the random patron. With a shim bar ready, she slid it between the door jam and pulled with all her might, and it gave way as though it wasnt locked.

"Pfft well shoot, don't know my own strength sometimes" she said in her hushed gravely voice, thankful this job started off easy. She crept up the stairs ensuring her head didn't make it above the windows. She had been caught before and she isn't going to squander such an opportunity.

Her eyes widened as she saw multiple bags strewn about the vinyl bench seats. Knowing she is on the clock she opened her old large canvas backpack and riffled through the first bag, only finding a towel, some shitty shorts and 45 cents. Out of principal, she left the change and went onto the next bag.

The next three were much more profitable, netting her a nintendo switch, two phones and 24 dollars in cash. Before she could open a drawstring bag that said "North Lake Alligators" with an alligator wearing a swim cap, she saw Debbie making her way back to the bus much too early. So she threw the small bag in hers and threw it over her shoulder and bolted for the escape door out the back. Snatching two other bags on her way out as bonus grab bags to inspect later.

Debbie saw the miscreant burst out the back and she began hollering after her but couldn't keep up with the slender street urchin due to her out of shape form. She was coming back to the bus because she forgot her coin purse that was tucked in the folds of her seat but was thankful she caught a glimpse of the thief.

She called for the police, although knowing their track record, she knows they aren't of much use, especially since she saw some heading their way towards the park, it may be a bit before she got one to her.

How was Sabrina holding up?
