Ariados Attack

Through the darkness, your ears can pick up something deep within the cavern still. Emitting more electricity into your cheeks, the yellow glow ranges out a bit farther just bright enough for you to see a thick, silver needle shoot out from the abyss to hit you! The projectile strike you in the shoulder which causes you to yelp instantaneously and grab a hand from where it jabbed you.

"Rai! Are you okay?! What happened?" Your little sister asks you as she clings onto Rachael's leg.

You grunt as you pick out the thin needle from your fur and toss it away, wincing from the ache it put into your shoulder, but thankfully it wasn't anything serious or bleeding. "Back away! There's something in here!" You exclaim to them as you increase the light just a bit farther. To your horror, you notice something strange about the walls and ceiling of the cavern once you spot several silk, white strands covering around the rocks. They soon change into more collected patterns until the light shines on a massive spider web littered with several shriveled up cocoons.

Rachael eeps at the sight and helps Kate to look away from them, shuddering in place. You glance up to scan around at the web before two purple dots glimmer in the light. Your thin fur spikes up at the sight of a large Ariados spider clutched on the ceiling of the cavern, looking down at the three rodents and hissing at them with drooling jaws. A drop of its hot saliva drips onto your face, making you wince and wipe it off with your arm as you order again, "Rachael! Take Kate and go! I'll deal with this thing, just make sure she gets somewhere safe!"

The spider unlatches from the web to land on front of you with a heavy, rock crumbling slam, jabbing its sharp appendages into the ground with each step. You gulp a heavy weight down your throat as you power more electricity into your cheeks, ready for a fight.

The Buneary holds your sister close, but asks, "Y-You sure you can take that thing? I can help and fight!"

You glance back, "Did I stutter? Make sure she's far and safe first!" The Ariados charges forward with its maw open wide, but thankfully you unleash a storm of bolts at it with your Thundershock to send it skittering back a few steps. The rabbit nods and grabs Kate, tugging the squirrel with her as they run away. 'It's okay Rai, I got this. I'm a Voltaire. We can do anything!' You reassure yourself in your head as the large spider shakes away the static and hisses at you.

Charging up for another attack, you release another blast of your voltage for the Ariados to see coming, leaping out of the way and charging forward with venom leaking from its fangs. Lashing your tail around in a spin, you quickly retaliate with an Iron Tail attack to smash its end upon the Ariados' head. Whipping it back, you meet its head again to smash against to send the spider toppling over on its side with a loud grunt. You wince after the hit strangely, feeling a sudden moment of weakness, yet you quickly shake your head and retain your focus. You simply brush it off as your body reacting to the intimidating spider.

You rush in for a quick attack to pound the spider's exposed underbelly to have it cough out some of its venom, only then to have it wrap its four appendages around your body. It squeezes you tightly against it for a crushing hug while you squirm and wail, trying to escape its grasp. The spider reveals a happy grin as it drools onto your face, in which you retaliate afterwards with another Thundershock. The powerful electricity surging through its body forces the spider to let you go and step back again, shuddering in a few spasms from the voltage. You land back on the ground and stand back up, ready to deliver the final blow, all until your head begins to rock inside your head with your vision suddenly become clouded. Feeling a random wave of sickness over you, your body falls onto one knee as you struggle to keep back up and keep your attention to the Ariados. The purple-eyed arachnid hisses dominantly as its slowly creeps closer and closer to you with your body stunned from your drained strength and senses.

'What? H-How is this happening? I almost had it too!' You try to comprehend in your thoughts, all until you remember that pin needle hitting you earlier. It was a Poison Sting attack, and the spider had leaked poison into your body. You get back onto your feet and continue your efforts to win, but the Ariados simply raises its abdomen and shoots out silk strands from the stinger. Sticky webbings rope out and glue right onto your chest and pudgy belly, causing you to gasp and squirm helplessly having lost the urge to fight and wanting to just survive at this point. The spider then tugs at the strings for you to be pulled forward, twirling from the motion even as you hit the ground on your chest. The act has your arms pinned to their sides with the web strands lassoed around your chest and belly, leaving you to the spider's mercy.

"N-N-No! I can't lose now!" You cry out and wriggle like a worm on the ground, however the poison in your system keeps you from making any progress on the sticky rope trapping you. The Ariados seems to almost cackle in its victory and happily approach your down body to roll you over onto your backside with its large form mounting and straddling you firmly down. You grunt and whimper, hoping this wasn't going to be your end as you stare up into those glowing purple eyes of its. The spider murrs while also grinding its body against your humiliating defeat to where you also feel something strangely wet and warm. You regret looking down after you witness the blushed and glistening nethers close to the underside of its abdomen, watching it pulse slightly and eager for either food or some fun.

The Ariados then makes its move to...
