The Explanation of the Virus

“One day, I went out to fetch the newspaper from the office. When I picked it up, I noticed an article talking about a town pretty far from here suffering from a strange virus. The residents are becoming aggressive, incidents at hospitals, and attackers all developing purple eyes, even ones who they know don't have em. It mentions that forces are looking into it and they'll come up with a solution to the problem." He shook his head before saying. “That was 2 months ago."

Your ears perked up at that last sentence. “Wait, so this whole mess started 2 months ago?" He just shrugged his shoulders and said: “I only know where it occurred. This might've started sooner." You cross your arms in thought. 'The change is sudden, and apparently the ones who get purple eyes even become stronger suddenly. I suppose I can see them being surprised and overwhelmed.'

You turn towards your mother. “Did anything happened at the hospital?" She nods and starts to speak. “Two patients, 2 adult, one looked to be in his early twenties and slimmer while the other was older and well built, were sent to the hospital. We were sending them to the ER when the younger male lost consciousness. While trying to revive him, he soon wakes up and starts to thrash about wildly. We tried to calm him down, but he wasn't listening."

She pause for a moment to rub her head before continuing. “We were **** to use a sleep seed and restrained him and the father when he lost consciousness as well. Afterwards, I went out to get some medicine for them, but when I came back, everyone, including the patients, were gone. The room was a complete mess as well." She finishes with tears forming in her eyes. You two go to hug her for comfort. 'So it seems the rate the Pokémon turns is based on ones age and size.' You thought.

After they finished explaining, your dad starts to speak again “That's all we know." The older Raichu got up and started to gather some things. "This place is no longer safe. You two have to leave and find a survivor camp. I have heard about some being made in the region. Where I'm not sure. Start with the town is called Silverhills, they may know more about it."

He hands you a map, some berries, and bandages. "I bought a map of the land that could help you find it. I don't know how this happened, except that this is not normal. You two can rest here for a few minutes, but then you'll have to go." You're a little surprise about the firmness in the last part, but you **** it down and said: “Not without you!
