Airborne Trip

Extensive purple wings flex out with clumsy power, spreading a wide gust of wind to blow across the flat top of the plateau. Loose sand float away in small waves as you watch the Aerodactyl begin to flap its wings with dizzy flails, and the beast was beginning to rise up. The massive dragon still somehow had enough focus to take flight in the air, gaining some distance from the ground a few meters up in hopes it could escape whatever had attacked it. You aren't going to let it get away that easy though.

As the dragon aviates above you to fly off into the canyon, you pay special attention to the tail that it's dragging limply below it. Catching the long tendril in a dive, you are suddenly carried off with the Aerodactyl to soar through the air as you keep a firm grip on its tail. You gulp and regretfully look down to the floor, watching how far below the ground was beneath you now as the infected dragon scutters its wings in wild desperation, making you second-guess if this was the right plan or not. Jackal calls out to you as you see him get smaller and smaller in the distance, disappearing from concealing cliff-sides during your trip on the dragon's wavering tail.

Having to embrace your fear, you climb along the tail slowly as best you can with it swishing back and forth during mid-flight for an uneasy trip to ascend upon. The Aerodactyl, although still stunned, notices your mounting and roars with great anger. It tilts to its side, slamming its backside into a canyon rock wall in an effort to crush you. You are able to dodge it just in time by sliding to the side of the Aerodactyl as its back grinds powerfully against the cliff, sending dirt, rubble, and dust clouds trailing violently behind it before releasing off.

You continue your ascent, climbing up the long back and neck of the dragon as it continues to struggle, unable to do much with you out of its reach. It instantly flips upside down, almost making you slip and fall off to your ****, but your hands luckily grab the horns on its head to dangle your body above the terrifying height. The Aerodactyl flips again, sending you to rise up in the air from losing your grip on its horns. The Aerodactyl thinks it has won now as you begin to stop rising in the air above the Aerodactyl and start plummeting towards it! Although, you charge your paw with a blazing blue fire, sending a deep aura punch towards its skull before you land back on it!
