Ground Sweet Ground

The small aura explosion erupted at the base of the Aerodactyl's head, sending it to plummet down in a fast paced descent. You do your best to hold onto to a shoulder of the screaming beast as it comes into contact of the flooring of the canyon, exploding dirt in all directions once finally hitting the earth and grind into the dirt floor like a massive cannon shot. You quickly jump off of the dragon, hitting the ground and rolling from the sheer **** of the Aerodactyl's falling speed.

It crashes into a steep rock wall in a loud crunching noise, while you stop from rolling and attempt to shake your dizziness away, your blurry vision fades away enough for you to focus back to the large infected creature. It laid face planted in a wall, with cuts and scrapes along its body, growling muffledly in rage. It weakly and bewitchingly raises its head, craning its neck to stare at you, gazing an evil purple stare. You stagger backwards to get ready for a real fight with all of the excitement from putting a beating on the Aerodactyl draining out of your body from that gaze. That menacing violet glow proves to you just how dearly the dragon wanted to kill you. Taking a few more steps back, you trip over a rock and land on your large blue rear, gasping in surprise and making feverish crawling pushes back.

Suddenly, a rumble in the wall groans, as large boulders begin to fall from the Aerodactyl's impact. They tumble out of the rock wall and plunge downward above the dragon, silencing it yells for its last time once the colossal rocks fall onto the Aerodactyl, letting out another crunching noise. You wince again as the dust clears, seeing a grey tail thrash violently from under the boulders until finally dying out in energy and falling to the floor. It remained still after that. It was over. You have actually defeated the giant Aerodactyl single-handedly!

Jackal would've probably done something if the dragon hadn't flown away with you on it. Probably.

...

You groan and fall all the way onto your backside, panting out from all of that terrifying work and luck as you stare up into the blue sky. You watch the white clouds surf silently and slowly through the air as the canyon breeze occasionally whisks by. The quiet moment you rewarded yourself was surely worth all of the effort you put in to help making this canyon a bit of a safer place. But you would need to get back to Jackal and Darcy to truly celebrate the day's victory, and besides, as eager as you were to just sit down and rest, you had a mission to complete. Sitting back up and trying to wet your dry mouth, you **** yourself to a struggling stand with a groaning exhale. You feel your wounds pulsate repeatedly with part of your head aching, including a small bloodstain sporting on the of fur on it, and as for your leg, you have collected a few bruises on it. Well, at the very least it was nothing seriously vital and you could live to see another day!
