Sunday Morning run

A whole week of partying went by quicker that Mark would have liked.

By Sunday, everyone on campus were pretty exhausted. Attention started to turn back to their subjects as classes returned the following day. For Mark personally, he needed something to clear his mind before getting back into a studying mood.

Changing into some athletic gear, Mark put in his headphones and headed for a run off campus.

The sun wasn’t out but the overcast skies and slight breeze still felt nice. It was the conditions that Mark liked to run in, saved himself from getting too overheated. The cool breeze acting as an aid.

A mile from campus, Mark ran past Tayla, a college senior who was running in the direction of their college grounds. She didn’t acknowledge him at all, completely focused on her run.

God she looked hot in these black and white stripped yoga pants.

Mark couldn’t help but look over his shoulder to watch her ass in those pants. Admiring the view, he accidentally started running off the footpath, bumping into a mini bush.

“Ow fuck!” he yelled out, picking himself up after falling over in the bush.

Getting up, he could feel his left leg had quite a few cuts on it, bit of blood starting to form above the skin. Using it as an excuse, Mark decided that was the key to ending his run and heading back home.

On his walk back home, Mark got a phone call from his roommate Matt. He didn’t see him the night before so he was unsure if he was on campus or not.

“What’s up Matt?”

“Yo Mark, need you to cover for me.”

“Cover for you? What do you mean?”

“Ahh hard to explain, I just need you to tell Cassidy that I’m doing some work in the city if she asks you.”

It sounded suspicious immediately, something wasn’t right there.

“Work? Is that what you’re doing?”

“It doesn’t matter, just promise to tell her that if she asks you anything about it today.”

Before Mark could ask anymore questions, Matt said he had to go, he hung up the phone leaving Mark more than a little confused.

Initial reaction, Mark thought he was cheating on Cassidy with someone from the city. Although it almost seemed too obvious to be true. Whatever it was, he was prepared to help out his roommate today if it came to it.
