The bottom of the skirt that now served as Mackenzie's replacement dress caught on the locking mechanism of the carriage, albeit briefly. In this moment of contact, a small bit of jagged metal took hold of a stray thread from the skirt, which continued to stay snarled on the metal even as Mackenzie walked away. It was impossible to tell at the moment, but Mackenzie's only piece of clothing was slowly being unwoven with every step she took.

The skirt might have been able to hold up somewhat if the only thing putting distance between Mackenzie and the carriage was the redhead's own walking, but that was far from the only factor in play. As the carriage door was shut with its new occupants inside and began its slow trek to the top of the wheel, the thread continued to pull, now in the opposite direction Mackenzie was headed. After passing the first diagonal support bar of the wheel, the carriage continued its slow ascent, quickly pulling away at Mackenzie's skirt.

A few dozen meters away from the Ferris wheel, Mackenzie and Willow continued their walk back to the entrance to the park. Mackenzie's skirt had shortened by a good several inches by now, and her legs were almost entirely on display. Just a tiny bit more, and that wouldn't be all open to viewing, either...
