The long skirt, covers more than the jacket, but it wasn't designed for this.

To Mackenzie's relief, Willow hooked her thumbs into the waistband of her skirt, pulling down and off of her legs before handing it to Mackenzie. The red head, grateful for the cover, eagerly accepted, stepping into the garment and pulling it up to under her arms.

Right away, Mackenzie knew it wasn't a perfect solution. It was plainly obvious she wasn't wearing a bra underneath. One, the waistband was holding on just above her chest, with her bare shoulders baring no straps. Two, the fabric of the skirt was both thin and clingy. It hugged the contours of her upper body, and with the cold wind blowing up on the Ferris wheel, Mackenzie could count two more reasons it was obvious she didn't have a bra.

In contrast, away from the waistband, the skirt was almost too loose. It was long enough that, even the way she was wearing it, it still pretty easily covered everything she wanted it too. Problem was, the wind teased at the edges, constantly threatening to blast the skirt up if she wasn't careful. As it was, even with her arms pressing it down, there was still a horrible draft.

Having situated herself as best as she could, Mackenzie turned her attention back to Willow, who had tied her jacket around her waist to make up for the lack of skirt. As their carriage reached the bottom , Mackenzie just flashed her friend a nervous, grateful smile, not wanting to openly talk about her predicament as other people came into earshot.
