A new party member

The next day, Sofia and I went to the guild to wait for our newest addition. I told her about Lucille, omitting her half naked status, and she seemed rather excited to have another girl in the group. After half an hour of waiting, Lucille finally showed up at the guild, fully dressed, head wound healed.

She wore a dark blue overcoat over her breastplate and armored skirt. She had gauntlets and sabatons as well. Lastly, she carried a longsword at her hip. She noticed us, heading over to the table we waited at.

“Hello Flynn, uh-” Lucille started.

“Sofia,” Sofia said.

“I’m Lucille. It’s nice to meet you. Well, nice to meet you while sober.” she joked.

“Here,” I said, pulling out my adventurer card. Lucille held her hand over it and it glowed with a faint blue light, a sword icon and Lucille’s name appearing under Sofia in the party tab.

“I guess we should acquaint each other with our abilities,” said Lucille. Sofia and I nodded. “As a Paladin, I have high defenses against both physical threats as well as magic. While not as strong as a dedicated fighter, I still have fairly high offensive power. I have a skill that can cause enemies to target me over my party members, one that deals high damage against undead foes, and one that stuns a single enemy.”

“I have a basic flare spell, a fire mine spell, and a firebolt spell,” Sofia said.

“What’s the difference between flare and firebolt?” I asked.

“You saw flare. It’s a fireball that explodes on impact. Firebolt is a long ranged spell that targets a smaller area,” Sofia said.

“I have no skills.” I said, slightly ashamed. “I’m level 1.”

“That’s fine,” Lucille said. “Everyone was level 1 at one point too.”

“Anyways, lets go look for a request.” Sofia said. We headed over to the request board. After a few minutes, we decided on request: 4*, Clear the Haunted Graveyard.
