Time for a Talk....

With Mia following closely, we walk into the kitchen and the seen before us was one of a happy family sitting down to breakfast most with smiles. The only one without a smile on there fast was Christopher. When he sees Mia and I enter the kitchen he stands up looking right at Mia saying, "I am Christopher Sanders, it is a pleasure to meet a friend of John." as he holds out his hand to her.

Mia shyly walks over and shakes his hand while saying, "Thank you Mr Sanders, I am Mia Perez and it is a pleasure to meet someone I have heard so many good things about." She said as she smiled sweetly. She turns and looks at the others in the kitchen and says, "I hope my being here dosen't bother any of you. It was.... unexpected to say the least. John didn't want me walking the streets alone at night so he said that I should stay here and that he would sleep on the couch." She blushed a little as she thought of what ended up happening and giving me a warm smile.

Beth was just about to say something when she caught my look, I knew she might say something out the way. So when she saw the daggers in my eyes she stopped before she even started with her mouth open slightly. Kate of course saw this and stood up saying, "I am Kate Sanders, and it is no bother. I know that John is very protective of his friends, I have heard some of the stories." Kate extended her hand and guided Mia to a seat saying, "Please sit and eat, there is nothing to worry about, maybe me and you can talk for a bit."

As Mia sat down Christopher motioned his head for me to come with him, and as he and I walk into the living room Mia just looks back at me with a little worry on her face. I just shoke my head and smiled, she understood what I tried to say and smiled back. When I got into the living room Christopher was standing by the window looking out into the front yard. "So John what really happend last night? What I am getting at is I know you two did something last night. And that is ok, but what are you going to do now?"

All I could do is just stand there as the weight of what Christopher said hit me. What was I going to do now?... Was I going to let Mia go back home and have to go visit her on the weekends? Or was I going to try and get her into the same school as me and get her a place to stay here? The only thing that keeps coming to my mind is that I want to be with her as much and as close as possible. So the only thing I could think to say was, "I haven't talked it over with Mia yet. But to be honest, I would like to have her close... Because... I have started to fall in love with her. I would like to see where this will take me, I hope you can understand this."

Meenwhile in the kitchen

Mia starts to eat and look at the smiling faces around her, she feels a little uncomfortable with being here without John with her. Every now and then she would look over to where Christopher and John went and then back to the food. Mia was slent as she ate and the others talked around the table about plans for the day.

Just as Mia finished her food and the others have left Kate looked at her and said, "Ok, now that you have eaten maybe you can tell me what really happened last night?" Kate's voice was soft and calm but what she said shocked Mia and she really wished John was there with her as she blushed heavily from memories from last night. Reading the look on Mia's face she said, "John is being talked to about the same thing by Christopher. So please know that we are just trying to find out what you and John are planing from here. We know what you two did last night, and that is ok. But what are you going to do now?"

Mia just sat there in shock, the words that came out of Kate's mouth sounded all sweet and caring but she could tell that Kate was only watching out for her kids, which John was now one of. Then Kate's question hit her mind again, what am I going to do now? Can I just leave and go back home without John? Then at that moment Mia made up her mind.

"I am in love with John, I have been for a long time. I dated a lot of guys hoping that John would get jealous, but he just kept wanting me to just be happy. And that just made me fall in love with him even more. Me and him have been through a lot of hard times together. I don't want to go anywhere he isn't, and it is not just because of last night. It is because he is the one thing in all my messed up life that makes sense." There where some tears in Mia's eyes by the time she was done but she manges to finish what she started, "So I will do anything to be with him even if I have to live out there on the streets. Just as long as I can be with John that is all that matters to me."

Kate stood up and hugged Mia gently trying to calm her down, "There, there, it is all alright. That is what I wanted to know. You can stay here if you would like. You don't have to go back if you don't want to but you will not live on the street. If I can't find anywhere else you will stay here some how. Love is a good thing, and I will try and help you get it any way I can." with Kate's kind words Mia started to clam down and smile and laugh at Kate's words.

"Thank you, but where would I stay? I mean I don't think everyone would be comfortable with me staying in John's room. I am sure that John wouldn't mind if we tell him, but you have your daughters and your husband to worry about." Mia looks at Kate to see what she might be able to come up with. Just then Christopher and John came in to the kitchen and Mia looked over to John getting up she hugged him tight and whispered into his ear, "I think Kate is going to let me stay here, or nearby. I will have to transfer but that would mean we could be togeather all the time. I love you so much that I told her I would live out on the streets just so I could be with you all the time."

John was a little shocked at what Mia had to say but then smiled and kissed her softly on the lips whispering to her, "I feel the same way. But I just wonder how this is all going to work out."
