You phase through the locked door, and as Lex was about to smack her around again, you create a judge's gavel out of thin air and hammer it down on his shiny head. He falls down and slips into unconsciousness...

"You saved me?" Mercy was quite surprised about that, and you made your gavel vanish.

"I hate what you both put my partners, and mostly me, through. But I also dislike seeing a woman getting pummeled." She smirked at you and nodded, watching you cuff Luthor's wrists by first untying his work tie. You called for help on your communicator, and you heard a familiar gentle drawl.

"Shadow! Partner, we've been trying to reach you for the last hour." Then Shining Knight told you that they came back to Lex's office to find it 'torn asunder,' as he put it. "We're just glad you're safe, amigo," Vigilante finished.

"Odd definition of safe, cowboy," you reply. "I'll fill you in when I get out." As you release your calling button, Mercy asked:

"Get out of where? We're not in LexCorp now."

"Then where are we?" But she turned away from you. "Well?" you prompted.

"I don't know..." And the strange thing was you believed her. Was that a good thing...? So, you channeled your teleport energy and created x-ray glasses to peer through this basement of sorts. You recognized some of the shapes you looked through: light posts, a semicircle roof, and... hollow legs?
