What's the new, revised plan?
A fantasy-lover's fantasy
I'd like to say that all of my thoughts towards the end of this Boom call and my maiden outing as a newly-dubbed ringmaster were towards re-establishing old friendships and helping us all attain a sense of peace and friendliness that I thought we'd loss, but I was assaulted by two other feelings. The first was a petty, pouty sense of annoyance, as I failed to do through my own ingenuity what Regina had smugly suggested I would more easily accomplish through wonton application of the ringmaster's power. The second: a vague sense of desperation, like if I let my plan fall apart at this stage, I was going to end up wasting my one chance. In hindsight, I'd realize that worry was unfounded; Regina never said anything about this being my one chance. I probably could have regrouped and come up with something safe and inoffensive.
However, in that moment, staring at my former friends, now turned bitchy coworkers, in states of undress and all going on about how silly I was, I felt the need to make a change. Any change would work-- even a drastic one!
My eyes fell upon one of the doujin works that Regina had left sitting on the bed next to her shapely, bare thighs. On the cover was a scantily clad lady knight, teamed up with a scantily clad priestess, a scantily clad thief, and a scantily clad mage for some sort of grand adventure. Back in the day, I'd created D&D campaigns for the four of us from time to time. Now, it was hard to imagine us getting together for anything like that... besides, our friendship clearly needed better glue to stick it back together than some game, even if it was one devised by a brilliant and creative gamemaster like me! We needed something real...
... A real adventure!
"Call's over, gals." With that sudden announcement, I shut off the Boom conference, leaving the three of them gawking at me with confused expressions. I knew what I needed... but I'd require a lot of help from Regina, even more than the gift of the supernatural, world-manipulating ring she'd granted me. "Regina! I've decided what I want!"
"Hm, well, looking at a bunch of cute girls in bras and less could certainly solidify a motivation or two," Regina quipped, setting down one of my mangas with a sense of gravity that showed she recognized I was finally ready to make a serious move. She re-folded her legs, flashing her vag at me from the spot where two intersecting chains failed to fully cover it, then grinned at me. "What's it going to be, 'Tabby?'"
"An adventure! The four of us need to go on an adventure together... but not a video game adventure! I want us all to have in adventure in real life!"
The sexy spirit of the ring raised one eyebrow, then leaned her impressive bosom over my desk from her spot on the bed to utilize my keyboard and search engine. "... Hm. Like... a LARP?" she questioned, while using my PC to bone up on her nerd-speak.
"No, come on! You get it, right? I mean a real adventure! I want us all to have a real life adventure where we form a party of four and beat some kind of demon king to save the world!" Still dressed in just my strained pink bra and panty set, I jumped up and started shaking my fists up and down emphatically. "When you see those kinds of characters in role-playing games and anime, they always become inseperable friends in the end, right?!"
"Look, I know a thing or two about humans by this point, but you're really pushing it. I don't know about the obscure video games you play... well, more than I read from these books just now, anyway," Regina sighed. Pensively, she pressed one finger to her red lower lip, then grinned. "Oh! You're saying you want to be molested along with the three of them by some tentacle monster, like in that book?"
"No! Or, well, not just that!" I defended, shaking my head and with it my shaggy black hair. I began to count off my requests on one hand, extending a finger with each point. "We need to assign classes: warrior, priestess, thief, and mage! Then, we all need new gear! Finally, we need a real enemy we can quest against!"
Regina seemed to be taking notes now using my word processor, which I accepted as a good sign. "Classes, hm? Who gets which class? I can base the gear off those tasty numbers the characters in your book were wearing."
I nodded excitedly; I liked the idea of seeing my friends dressed in those kinds of outfits more than I wanted to let on. "So let's see... The thief has got to be Vivi. It's always the skinniest one that gets to be the thief," I began, watching as Regina typed my selection into the computer. I couldn't tell you why she'd chosen to do it this way instead of snapping her fingers and manipulating the screen to make all the words appear at once. "Besides, she's the sneaky type anyway. A code-breaker could be a good lock-picker too, I'll bet! Then there's Rene... I think she'd be best as the mage. She's sort of the chaotic sort... Plus, she likes magic tricks! I'll bet if she knew I was making her a magician with all kinds of spells at her command, she'd be thrilled!"
"Yes, just imagine, being able to change the world with a snap of your fingers or a wave of some wand. How fantastical," Regina chuckled. "Now, about the priestess, I assume you'll be--"
"No, that's got to be Gina!" I snapped in quick response, causing Regina to stare blankly. She clearly wanted an explanation, so I continued. "If you knew Gina as well as I do, you'd know she has to be the priestess! She's the one who holds us all together, who 'heals the party,' so to speak!"
"Isn't that you? I figured that's what this whole exercise was about."
"No, no. It's only because of the kindness Gina's shown me in the past that I got this far! She really is our sustaining ****!"
"... Sooo, you're going to be okay lugging a sword around everywhere and wearing bikini armor? It's not going to hide that belly."
I gulped, then stared down at my exposed midriff, muffin-topping way over the hem of my panties. "I'll do it! For the sake of our friendship-- and the world's safety-- I'll put my pride on the line!"
Regina grinned. "I like that boldness! Even if you're only promising to rid the world of a threat that I'm providing you. Speaking of which, I can handle the classes and the gear, but we should visit the 'real enemy' you requested. What exactly did you have in mind?"
She had me at a loss; I plopped my big butt down on the bed and lay back against the anime-print bedspread. "Gee, I don't know! Usually the villain's just kind of a set piece in most of these things. It doesn't really matter as long as they're strong and worth beating."
The mischievous spirit smirked, then slid up next to me on the bed, wearing an ominous grin. "Certainly you're not asking me to snap my fingers and turn some poor nine-to-fiver into the demon lord for your amusement, are you, Tabby? Don't you want to put a little more thought into this, now that we're in the home stretch? Who would be a worthy villain for your quest?" she needled me, poking at my pudgy belly teasingly. I grumbled and rolled onto my side, causing her to begin poking my chunky butt instead. "Are you out of steam already? That's no good for a warrior. You're supposed to have vitality, aren't you?"
"Look, this part's tricky! I don't know anyone worth turning into a supernatural foe for us all to fight! I need someone vaguely manipulative, but super powerful, but with a vested interest in acting the part of a villain and not just smashing us before we can strengthen ourselves. Oh, if it's someone hot, that'd be even better! Someone supernatural and hot..." After half-answering Regina, I stared at my shelf of collectible figurines. There were a couple of kind of demonic figures who seemed like good fits. I spotted a horned demon with silver hair and a sword twice as long as their body... I considered a spectral lady wrapped immodestly in chains... I spent a while pondering the merits of an evil noblewoman, raising her hands in the air to conjure some kind of magic.
Silver hair... wrapped in chains... wielding magic... if only I knew someone like that!
I rolled over in the bed, then sat upright, once I realized that keeping my eyes meaningfully upon Regina from that position was going to be awkward. "You! You've got to be the evil overlord. The four of us will have to quest until we're strong enough to defeat you!"
"Oh, sweetie, I'm flattered, but who ever heard of an evil overlord that the hero can snap their fingers and command to take the fall for them?" Regina questioned, looking bemused about the whole idea.
"That's just it! I want you to seal up the power... I won't be able to undo my wishes! The four of us will be trapped as real-life adventurers until we manage to defeat you!"
Regina's eyes widened; she was clearly hesitant to give me anything that resulted in an end to my wishing ways. However, the sneaky spirit was a master of the bargain. Resting her angular chin on the back of one hand, the genie-like figure smiled into my eyes, causing me to gulp. "May I add one little condition? You have to understand: I cannot allow a ringmaster to go without making wishes. It's a breach of contract! It's simply unprecedented. Tradition, rules, and all that. I'd be trampling the memories of generations of ringmasters if I let it slide. Let's try this for a compromise: how about I look into a couple of alternate futures and pull out a best-of playlist of your finest wishes that may have occurred throughout this adventure? Sexy, salacious, and difficult... I'll challenge you with these sorts of trials, just like a game master from that nerdy game you play. Which was it? Dongles and Dragons?"
"You know it's not Dongles!"
"Danglers?"
I hissed with rage, but nodded regardless. "You've got it! That sounds like a great idea! No more making stupid wishes and I can finally repair my friendship!"
"Oh, but these will be your wishes. Maybe they didn't originate from you... but they did originate from a you." Regina grinned broadly, seeming as though she was looking forward to seeing how it all shook out. "This is going to be quite fun! I can't wait to flex my creativity a bit. It's not so often that I get a blank check to use the ring how I'd like. Ordinarily-- especially with the little push I give them-- people think up all sorts of ways to use it without asking for my input."
"Really? I would have thought a lot of people would be super-humane like I tried to be. Nobody ever wishes you free of the ring or something like that?" I questioned, raising one eyebrow. That was like genie 101-- the second thing you'd expect people to try, right after wishing for unlimited wishes, although that'd be a little stupid given the power the ring already granted.
"If I haven't made it clear yet, I quite like the ring," the silver-haired woman returned with a sultry chuckle, while flipping stray locks over her slender shoulders so that they rested behind her back. "But you misunderstand. Plenty of folks are hesitant to use me. However, it's very few who tell me to go nuts and use the power however I personally desire." The look on her face was starting to match an evil overlord's. I was beginning to regret my brilliant decision to turn her into my end-game boss.
"Ehm, let me reconsider--"
"Too late. Already extracted the power. Enjoy your time as a warrior!"
Her fingers snapped with ruthless quickness! Suddenly, a beam of light flashed down from the ceiling and connected into my floor, like some kind of time-stream you'd see in a science fiction show. I cried out and waved my arms, but found myself sucked up inside that light. It was terrifying at the time, but in hindsight, I guess I should be thankful she didn't isekai me with a truck...
So hey, I may have just created an evil overlord... What's going to happen next?!
