Take Bounty #1: Missing sheep!

"Missing sheep." No information on what the culprit could be, only that they tend to disappear somewhere along the eastern mountain pass. You trudge ahead, watching the sun. You still have plenty of daylight left, but any excursion far up the mountain might leave you in the dark on the way back down. Given the plethora of dangers apparent from your bounty list, you're not too keen on spending the night alone up there.

Despite the grim thoughts, you notice the subtle beauty of the forest giving way to the mountain side. Some trees struggled on the rockier ground, others managed their way up its heights. The stone is laced with shiny veins, metals that drew people here in search of fortune. You're not sure what kinds there are in the lines that snake their way across the sides of the stone mountain pass, but apparently the kingdom needs plenty of it.

You keep your eyes peeled for any signs of movement, and of course, any sheep. It was always possible that it ran off on its own, rather than be carried off by a monster or animal. You shouldn't bet on it, but you can hope. You navigate through the winding path, breathing little heavier as the pass becomes an ascent. Ever mindful of your remaining light, you turn your eyes to the sky. The sun is a little lower than when you started, but you're still in the clear.

Something else catches your attention, though. High above you, something soars above on wide wings. It's hard to pick it out, but it seems large.
