Chapter 193 by brevdravis brevdravis

The few hundred feet high club

Feel like doing something adventurous?

"So... I've had a few girls up here." Helen mentioned, turning so the small of her back pressed into the metal railing. "Hope that doesn't bug you."

"Oh really, now this I have to hear." I replied.

"Yeah, well, there's nothing really to say. You do this kind of thing, and half the time there's some body who just wants to tag along. I suppose you know what that's like."

I smiled at the thought, thinking about the rest of the little group that had decided to come along with me.

"So... do yo have a routine, or something you usually do?"

"Well... I can always break out the wine I just happened to have chilling in the cool night air on the side of the Ship." Helen remarked. "But you'd be surprised how many girls think that's trying too hard."

"People these days have no sense of drama. And no more booze for me, I already have enough of a hangover."

"Oh, so you want to stay conscious for this, and not just pretend you don't remember the next time you wake up." Helen grinned at me, and I loved how the smile always seemed nearly predatory with it's wide and bright visage.

"Oh, but now, I think... wait... I have a wife! Right, that's my line at this point?"

"Something like that." Helen moved a bit closer to me, and now I could even feel the warmth of her close at hand, despite the cool sea air all around us. I let my arms fall around her, and even through the heavy woolen fabric, it was wonderful to have her in my arms again. "And she's in her cabin, and probably sleeping, because she's quite justifiably tired as hell."

We held each other for a few moments, looking out on the rising sun as it broke through the clouds of smoke that hung low over the coast.

"So... You still wanna get dropped off at the nearest Airshiport?"

"Uhm, did I say that? I shouldn't have said that. I mean, according to every safety briefing I've ever had when dealing with pirates, you just do whatever they say, and file for compensation afterwords."

"How boring a story is that? Hello, everyone, I'm the dread pirate ... and they've all locked themselves in the room. Ok, take everything, and don't bother with the costumes..." Helen rolled her eyes. "You can't even break out the cool hat anymore."

"A cool hat?"

"Seriously, nobody pays any attention to your face if you're wearing a cool enough hat. This is a theory of Charlotte's that seems to pan out quite well these days."

"You know, that was the first thing I noticed about you two." I remarked, noting that Helen's fingers hand just undone one of the buttons on my coat, and her hand was moving to the next one. "And I have to admit... I thought you were a guy at first."

"Well, you'll just have to double check on that, won't you?" Helen undid the second button, and her hand slipped inside the coat to rub at my side. "So... hope you don't mind if I warm my hands on you a little."

Helen put both of her hands within the jacket now, encircling my back and pulling me even closer to her. I was enjoying the feel of her hands, and while they were a little cold, it wasn't completely off putting. Holding her here, watching the sun come up. Something I never would have expected to be enjoying nearly as much as I was. It felt like a welcome break from the insanity. Just holding her, enjoying her heartbeat, her breath, her hand on my ass....

It was the first soft squeeze on me that made it pretty clear that Helen had something more than just being held on her mind. I felt a throb in my lower body at her closeness, and her touch. I leaned my head down, and our lips met again. There was a light taste of smoke on her lips, but it wasn't too unpleasant, and when she slid her tongue into my mouth aggressively, I was happy to indulge in the delectable kiss.

You know... there's a bed right there...
