Emily starts to cry

Emily couldn’t help it as tears streamed down her face. This was supposed to be a nice date where she and Lauren talked. And here she was naked, making a fool of herself. She didn’t know what to do, she was freaking out. Why did her mom make her go naked? Was Lauren really that bad? Had she made a mistake?

Emily tried not to show her feelings because she wanted to show Lauren she was above all this, that she didn’t care about being naked. But she couldn’t stop herself when the waiter walked away. She could only imagine what he was thinking about her. He must think that she’s some freak, some nudist or something. She appreciated Lauren so much, but she felt so humiliated and embarrassed, she began to cry, sobbing. She placed her head on the table, in her hands as she gave up covering and just cried.

Lauren’s grin dropped when she noticed Emily crying. “Emily, don’t cry, it’s okay,” she said.

“I’m ruining this date,” Emily sobbed. “This was supposed to be just a nice date, and here I am naked ruining everything. Maybe this was a mistake.”

Lauren looked at Emily and rubbed the tears from her eyes. “Emily, please. You’re not ruining the date. Please don’t be upset.”

“But you must think I’m a horrible person or something. For fuck sake, Lauren, I’m naked,” Emily cried. “I’m the only one naked here, and it’s embarrassing. This is just supposed to be a nice dinner.”

Lauren looked at Emily, thinking what to do. What could she do to make her feel better?
