There was no way I was going to go along with this. I had to find that portal and get out of here. I peeked out the door to see if the coast was clear. As Darkness had said, there was a path of light leading back towards the stairs and around a corner. My guess is that was the way to the dinning room and by extension, Darkness. I looked to the right, which was nothing but darkness. Maybe heading in the opposite direction would lead me to something of interest. Or I could look downstairs.
