If they forgot about Skyler. Would he be able to get out without them noticing? Or would he be stuck having to wait to be released?
A Man of Mystery: The great escape!
Over the next two hours, Skyler thought about the many different ways he could try to escape without anyone noticing him. Although many of them ended in failure, one thought in particular seemed plausible. He simply needed to walk out the door with confidence. Sure, he was currently unable to move, but if the timer for this debuff was to be believed. That soon wouldn't be the case. Normally someone in his position would want to stay within the safety of the hospital. It wasn't like they planned to hurt him. As such, leaving would be the last thing they would expect him to do. As this thought entered his mind, a new red and yellow exclamation flashed that he allowed to pop up.

Accept or Decline?
Skyler mentally hit, 'Accept.' before letting out a heavy sigh. He could feel the tension building, even though he knew this should be fairly simple. He was quite aware that those at the hospital tended to forget those who had been there within minutes. He didn't know about other areas, but that was true around here. This was likely due to how many people they saw throughout their shift. As he thought on this more, he felt his right hand's pointer finger twitch. This sent a wave of excitement and relief through his body. He was finally regaining some movement after all. Seconds later, he felt the heaviness from his eyelids decay, allowing his eyes to open slowly.
Skyler's eyes looked slowly around the room. It was just as he had imagined, clean, dull, and lifeless. His eyes looked over to his health and mana bar. Just underneath it was the timer of his debuff, but he was not expecting to see what he saw. It had a picture of him with his arms over his chest like a mummy. Underneath it was the time remaining, a mere twenty seconds. As he watched the timer count down, he began to wonder about which sensors he should remove first. There were two on his chest and one on his right hand's pointer finger.
Now that Skyler thought about it, he was surprise that there wasn't a needle in his hand to pump in saline. It might be because they were worried about him having a heart attack and didn't want even more fluid to pool and press around his heart. When his debuff's timer ran out, he felt his body become almost instantly lighter, allowing him to move his body once again. However, there was a slight problem. His movements were sluggish. At that moment, a notification appeared in the center of his view.

Skyler sighed softly as he sat up slowly. He knew this would make things a bit more difficult, but it just meant that he couldn't run, jump, or do anything too strenuous for a while. As he flexed his right hand, the tape holding the oxygen sensor on his finger became loose, falling off shortly after. He felt his heart sink before realizing this wasn't that big of a deal. It has happened before when he was at the hospital and they didn't check on it before. They must be used to things like that happen. This made him worry a bit about the other patients within their care.
Skyler removed the clips on his sensors before hearing the machine monitoring his heart flatline. For a mere second, his heart sank, feeling a sense of dread and panic overtake him. His eyes looked it over quickly. Luckily, it only took a couple of seconds before he saw a button labeled, on/off. He leaned over toward it and hit the button, silencing the machine when it turned off. He took off the sticky pads from his chest, tossing them away a moment later before walking toward the curtain.
Skyler moved the curtain slightly to take a look around. After a few seconds of searching, he stepped out of the room, feeling the coast was clear. He scratched the top of his head while looking around. A moment later, he spotted a few signs on the wall. Sadly, none of them mentioned the exit or the lobby. However, he noticed a workstation nearby with a computer. As a smile crept upon his lips, he walked toward it. "Um, hello? Can anyone tell me which way's the exit?"
Skyler waited for several seconds without hearing a reply. He lifted a brow and cleared his throat before speaking a bit louder. "Can anyone help me find the exit?" A few seconds later, he heard a woman's voice reply from the curtained room from across the walkway. "Just follow the red line on the floor." As she spoke, he instantly recognized that this was the same woman that had checked if he had a concussion earlier. When he looked down, he saw three different colored lines leading in different directions. One was blue, another was red, and lastly was a yellow one.
Skyler felt a wave of relief wash over him as he smiled a bit more to himself. "Thank you, miss." He didn't hear a reply, but he didn't allow that to stop him as he followed the red line towards the exit. Upon opening the door and walking through the exit and into the lobby, his quest turned itself in and a new red exclamation flashed that he allowed to pop up.

Skyler stopped for a second as a wave of lightheadedness swept over him, feeling his mind expand. Once this wave cleared, it felt like a storm of interference had been lifted from his senses. If he didn't know better, he would have sworn everything became clearer. His perception of the world around him and his ability to think had improved too. He shook his head before heading out the lobby's door. His planned worked better than he had anticipated. He began to softly sing. "I wanna run through the halls of my high school. I want to scream at the top of my lungs. I just found out there's no such thing as the real world. It's just a lie you got to rise above. I am invincible. I am invincible. I am invincible. As long, as I'm alive."
Skyler felt slightly invigorated by this accomplishment, but he still had to get back home. As he headed out toward the curb and out toward the parking lot, he began to wonder how he should get home. His eyes glanced up toward his health and mana bar. When he did, he felt excited by what he saw. He had 214 mana, allowing him to finally cast Nekojin Form. With that form, he could run faster and enjoy all of the other perks of being a Nekojin. He was certain there were at least a few of them.
Skyler was certain that he should be able to purr more easily, jump higher, sprint faster, and even climb up a tree with ease. As he thought more about this, he wondered if there would be any major changes to his body. Would he have fur all over like a cat? Or would he look mostly the same with minor modifications like claws, modified ears and eyes, and a tail? Sadly, there was a risk of being seen, but since it was dark outside, that risk was pretty low. With all of this in mind. What should he do? Cast Nekojin Form and run home? Walk home normally? Or call his parents to come pick him up?
